Ranma's Furry Friend: Artemis' choice [Episode 96933]

by Kestral

"Let's skip ahead a bit, shall we?" said Artemis, still deciding on what her own entry should be. Something other than a cat, but that left quite a lot.

"How far?" said Toltiir in the guise of a Keebler elf, consulting a 'Guide To Ranma Timelines' book that had obviously been thumbed through a few times.

"How about one year later?" Artemis suggested.

"Let's see, they'd be going through Juuban," said Toltiir as he adjusted the dial.

"Well, here we are my boy, the Dojo that you're going to challenge. Once we win, we'll get food and overnight stay for the return of their sign. Standard procedure." Genma let out a deep breath and turned to his son and pet. Except that they didn't seem to be there. "Ranma? Ranma?! RANMA!"

"Meow!" said Hotaru, beginning her dance.

Ranma dug in briefly, then just watched his pet kitty eat. Whereas he ate fast and single-mindedly, Hotaru often munched each piece as long as she could savor it - trying to make the meal last as long as possible. "Good?"

"MmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMM! Captain Salty's always have good fishies!" Hotaru said loud enough to be overheard by passerby. Which also didn't always work but was worth a try. Sometimes she could get a little scrap or two more out of the vendor for spreading 'word of mouth' like that.

And it was good fish. They never had any of that stuff that had that metallic taste to it.

All too soon the six year old and the four year old were back to wandering around, looking at all the bright lights of the Tokyo Tower area when:
