"Don't tell Minako about that," Takeda warned cheerfully as she shifted in her chair so she could cross her legs.
"Why not?"
"She's getting into karaoke, and it can be an... interesting thing to hear at times."
"At least she is enjoying herself. And they all deserve to find sources of intrest, as it usually winds up creating a great product. Like the autonomous robots they've made," he said with a slight shrug.
"Too true, and they have made great advances in that field."
"Along with Genom. Unfortunately they have come out with a new line of beginning robots. With a prediction that their 'Boomer' lines will be coming out in about ten years."
"I've heard about that."
"And what is going on about that?"
Takeda gave a little chuckle. "Competition. Apparently big hulking machines aren't the AIs favorite design. While Genom is designing their big machines, which are probably going to only be able to be purchased by corporations, businesses, or the wealthy, we're going in a different direction."
"And that is..."
"The consumer market apparently. They've already got a bipedal design that can do a number of tasks on its own, and they're improving on that. By what they've shown me and my team, they're going to be come up with robots they call 'persocoms', and will be... androids."
"'Androids'?"
"Robots that are look and can act like human beings," she explained, "These 'persocoms' will be able to do anything from cooking to keeping track of appointments to playing games. And they will have intelligence and personalities of their own, so that they can communicate and act with their owners without any trouble."
"Sounds impressive..."
"They will be, and they'll come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and styles."
"How much will this cost?"
"Enough that the common person will be able to buy one once the designs are finalised and materials needed for it are developed," the scientist informed him.
"Which will allow us to corner the general market. Good. It will still mean that we will have to compete with Genom."
"We're working on that even now."
"Good. And give our friends my thanks," Light told her.
"I will," Takeda replied with a nod, while:
