Small Differences: Meet the Tendos [Episode 98520]

by Prince Charon

"At last, Ranma is coming. How I've waited for this day."

You know how this goes, right?

"Kasumi..." Cute girl, late teens, long brown hair in a ponytail hung over her left shoulder, wearing a bow and an apron, in the kitchen.

"Nabiki..." Cute girl, mid-to-late teens, short brown hair in a typical school bowl-cut, lounging on her bed, reading a manga and sucking suggestively on a lollipop.

"Akane! Akane? Where is that girl..." (In the dojo, you fool!) Cute-but-tomboyish girl, mid teens, long dark-blue hair held by a yellow ribbon, performing a kata.

Perhaps developing a kata would be more accurate, as she stops at various points, redoing a move a little differently, or substituting one for another. This kata seems to be mostly a mix of Kenpo and Aikido, and looks as though it is designed to take down multiple opponents, very painfully, but without long-term injuries.

"There you are, Akane. Daddy has a big announcement to make, and wants us all together," said Nabiki.

"Oh, no, not another one," said Akane. Having lived with her father for her entire life, Akane knows well to be wary of Soun's announcements, as they usually lead to trouble.

Another difference that the reader should note, and would have sooner, if this were illustrated, is that, apart from Kasumi's apron, none of the Tendo girls are wearing any clothes. Their father, who is wearing a dark brown gi, either doesn't notice, or doesn't care. Now that's certainly different, isn't it?

(For those who care, no, you can't tell if Akane's dark-blue hair is her natural colour, as this is an Anime universe, and so, none of the girls have body hair.)

"FIANCE!?"
