But as he left his office, he had discovered that things were going from bad to worse. The food service area was already plastered with food, and various girls were attempting to strike each other while drenched in condiments and drinks. From there he went to the hallways and found that there were girls in torn clothing trying to beat each other with school property. The outside wasn't much better as he discovered students not even from his school were now fighting everywhere from the front yards to the pool.
He found that it was too much to bear, and decided to make the madness stop.
"You're being bad little keikeis!" he yelled as he pulled out his weapons of choice. "It's time dat you be learning your lessons 'bout proper behavior!"
None of them could even hear him over the noise of the fighting to pay attention to him if they had been bothered to.
So, annoyed with what he saw as unrepenant dilinquents, he decided to make them listen, and struck out at the first girl he could reach.
She did stop, but only long enough to finger her now shorter hair. "He cut my hair... He CUT my hair!"
"Now you be de good little keikei?"
"AAHH!" she yelled and promptly lifted him up in a frenzied show of strength, and slammed him into the ground. "He'll never look at me now! You creep!"
The principal would have answered, but he found himself discovering just how much damage a dainty foot could manage.
Especially as other girls joined in, some simply to get back at their strange headmaster.
Azusa slid in on her way back to fight Kodachi and Asuka before peering into the pummeling. "Aww... You broke his little tree... It was so cute..," Then she stopped and got a better look, which made her wince in disgust. "Oh, that's Asuza's mistake. That's not a tree, but it's still tiny..."
"Ahh... To see him get bashed as I'm watching cute girls go at it," Hiroshi sighed happily, "This is the best day of my life."
Daisuke smirked at his friend. "It gets better."
"How could it?"
"They just blew up the chem lab. No more quizzes!"
"YES!"
Miyuki Kobayakawa dropped into her seat and sighed as she looked over the squad room in the Bokotu station. "Who knew that this could get so nuts."
"Is it that bad?" Yoriko asked as she pressed the novel she had been reading to her chest.
"Could be worse I suppose, but with all the officers being sent to that one school... You're a dispatcher, so you should know."
"Not really. All the radio communication has been from that one place."
"It is? Ah well, I guess it was expected. But it still means that the rest of us have to keep the peace while this prince guy is choosing his bride."
"Everyone must be excited..."
"Pretty much," Miyuki confirmed, "though it's really showing in different ways."
"Can you blame them?" Natsume drawled, "I mean, the chance for that sort of life?"
"I didn't know that you were thinking that way..."
"Of course I am! Think of all the exciting things he must experience, and all the stuff! And he's got to have the best eats around! Steak, turkey, beer, fish, pastas, cakes, noodles, lamb chops, sushi..."
"I should have known... And what about... Yuriko?!"
"What?" the dispatcher asked in concern.
"What's that in your book?!"
"Huh? This?" she said, pulling out the golden slip that had been between the pages of her novel. "It's my bookmark, why?"
"That's a ticket to the bride contest!" Natsume barked.
"It is? Oh, imagine that..."
Both traffic cops fell over in shock at their friend's cluelessness.
"What am I going to do with this?" Ryoko Mitsurugi muttered to herself as she peered at the golden slip in her hand.
"Do with what?" Hitomi asked as she tried to get a glimpse of what her best friend was holding. "Oh my God! You have a..."
"SSHHHH!" the swordswoman hissed as she slapped a hand over her friend's mouth. "You'll let everyone else know!"
"Bub I dought yud be habbi abut dis..."
"Huh?"
The other girl moved the hand keeping her from talking, and repeated herself. "I said, 'But I thought you'd be happy about this'."
"Why would I be?"
"Because it'd mean that you'd get a chance to marry a real live prince with magic and everything!"
"That's exactly what I'm not sure about..."
"Then why do you have it if you're not sure if you want it?"
"Some guy from the prince's lands gave it to me and said that I'd be 'the right girl to have around His Highness'," Ryoko told her, "Whatever that means."
"It means that you've been chosen, right?"
"Yeah, but chosen for what?"
"To marry him, of course," Hitomi replied brightly, and her expression turned thoughtful, "But if you weren't sure about it, then why didn't you ask somebody?"
"Because I didn't want everyone to know that I have one of the special tickets!"
"You've heard it here first and LIVE!" declared a girl holding a microphone as she popped up next to Ryoko. "Our own school idol, Ryoko Mitsurugi, admits that she has one of the most sought after tickets in town! And I, Natsumi Fujishima am the first to talk to her about it!"
"She does?!" came echoing from more female voices than could be counted, and all were heard loud and clearly.
The named 'school idol' twitched slightly as she realised what was going on while:
