Kingdom of magic. Magic prince. Go figure.
The elven faction had made a simple enchantment that the tickets find their way into the hands of females of the appropriate age group. They'd added another one to make the tickets themselves damn near indestructible.
It was the dark elves who got ahold of the tickets and added some really nifty enchantments. Partly because this was their prince and they wanted him to be happy (though they'd prefer it was their own bridal candidate who won) but mainly because it would be a kick in the knees of those damn uppity high elves. Not only would the tickets only be found by girls of the appropriate age, they would find their way to girls who actually wanted this chance. Anyone who held a ticket that did not fit those criteria would find it slipping from their fingers (or pockets or bank vaults) by a chance-manipulation spell.
The high elves had intended the war over tickets to be the first hurdle prospective brides had to pass.
Yuka yelped as she was grabbed by Kodachi's ribbon, her grip on the precious Ticket To A Better Life slipping.
Kodachi tried to snatch the ticket and was quickly embroiled in a no-holds-barred no-quarter-given battle with Asuka The White Lilly and Azusa Shiratori.
The ticket drifted on a sudden breeze carrying it away from the battle.
Cheerleaders fought gymnasts. Schoolgirl fought schoolgirl. Faces and hands were slapped. Wrestling moves applied. Clothes ripped.
Daisuke and Hiroshi, as well as a majority of the boys of Furinkan, watched from the sidelines with lecherous grins. This was the most fun they'd seen in years!
Gosunkugi accidently fell backwards and triggered the sprinkler system.
Mud, wet drenched bodies, and fighting women. Some of the boys in the crowd went down with massive nasal bleeding.
Soun leapt for the precious ticket.
A man, a middleaged man at that, getting involved had an effect that was quite predictable if extremely violent. There was a lull in the girl-on-girl battle as they all briefly turned their attention to the obvious pervert.
"No, I'm after the ticket. Sorry, didn't mean to grab you there. Err, excuse me I... AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Nabiki and Kasumi turned their eyes away from the sight of their father being pummelled.
The sound of a police whistle caused a sudden freezing of the tableau before everything erupted into frenzied activity again.
The police had been keeping an eye on the infamous school of Furinkan, that which had caused Japan itself such embarassment. For such a scene of mob violence to commence was not something to pass without consequence.
The scene quickly changed to charging policemen, screaming and running girls, hiding boys, a middle aged and severely pummelled man getting run over repeatedly until someone noticed and arrested him, Gosunkugi getting repeatedly run over but nobody noticing him, and vans being loaded up with cuffed and chained prisoners.
Yuka slowly climbed down out of a tree with Sayuri, clutching the precious ticket close to her heart as the two snuck away from the school which was in the process of being demolished.
"We'll go together," declared Sayuri. "I want to at least see the prince."
"Maybe that elven herald will be around?" speculated Yuka.
Sayuri blushed and nodded.
