Setsuna's Fault/Hotaru's Sensei: contemplation of ties [Episode 99501]

by Kestral

The other Senshi considered their Princess' instructions. This was certainly unexpected, but not all that surprising. Usagi was often lazy, frequently silly, clumsy and not really the brightest of individuals - but she had a very big heart. And not just the big pink ones she manifested to whack yoma with.

She also tended to be jealous of her Mamo-chan.

Having heard that her friends were going to have to be content with some time sharing arrangement in the future where they were all part of some extended harem might have had some appeal to Usagi. It would have been outweighed by their current unhappiness with their doom to this fate.

Ami glanced at Ranma. Her medical instincts and training immediately began cataloguing all the things that could be wrong with his health and how to address them. Her desire to help people and fix things as well as be a doctor saw a path to mutual fulfillment. With her working with him, there could be improvements in the field of bio-mechanics. New braces and possibly even bionic limb replacements someday.

Makoto assessed the young man in the wheelchair. He definitely needed someone. He also definitely worked out those parts of the body he could. If he'd been whole, no doubt he would be cute and studly. There was a definite attraction as this was someone who needed someone competent and caring in his life, to get through that layer of hostility as Hotaru had. Hmmmm.

Minako had a gleam in her eye. With those scars he wasn't cute, and his mouth tended to form a frown that indicated it was pretty much engraved there. Still, he WAS a potential boyfriend who could assist them in the future. He WAS a boy and in the universe that Setsuna had clipped - apparently able to keep up with a harem. Imagine what he could do with just one girlfriend.

Hotaru blushed and fidgeted. She really liked her sensei/sempai. He helped her so much with her studies and her dream of becoming a nurse was beckoning closer all the time as a result. It was obvious who'd end up with Ranma, but was she really ready for this?

Rei frowned slightly. As a Shinto priestess she wasn't opposed to technology, but she took a more nature-oriented view normally. She would be a bad choice for Ranma, as he couldn't even help her sweep the steps to the shrine. On the other hand, she couldn't help but feel guilty towards his current predicament. She had followed the little statements from Setsuna and put together a picture she didn't like at all.

Usagi felt happy. Her friends would end up with someone and they had a new friend and ally. He might not be able to help directly in a fight, but she'd take what she could get.
