Ranko wakes up properly [Episode 10]

Ranko thumped her own head.

Sheesh! She was obviously spending far too much time in her male form, if she started forgetting her real gender like this. Writing it off as the aftereffect of an odd dream (about a girl... with short hair...), she went to the living room, where the rest of the family was already gathered for breakfast.

"Thank you Kasumi! That was delicious."

Kasumi smiled at Akane. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, Imouto-chan. But isn't it almost time for you to go?"

All three of the younger girls looked at their watches, noting the time with dismay. Another school day at Fuurinkan High was looming - with all the things that entailed. Only Nabiki managed not to frown, since she was usually able to gain some profit from the usual craziness, or - failing that - at least some amusement.

Of course, they could not know yet what was awaiting them today. Because on this fine Monday morning

• the tryouts for a big inter-school sports event were being held.
• a whole bunch of students from a different district were being transferred to Fuurinkan, because their school was being renovated (or was it "re-built"? Strange rumours abound).
• Principal Kunou launched his new, even more foolproof plan to get all students into new "uniforms". (The colours! My God, the colours!)
• a certain android, who also lived in Nerima, decided to try out her new, reinforced bike along the canal road.
• Kunou Tatewaki launched his new, even more foolproof plan to gain the adoration of his two beloveds.
• they were quite surprised by what was happening.
