Ranma's confusion with her gender was but the first change made to the universe as History itself changed....

At another plane, a lone figure watched with interest the ripples caused by the stone he had just thrown into Mimir's well.

'Well, that makes the tenth,' thought Genma as he threw yet another cat in the sack, 'Just a couple more, and my son will finally be the strongest fighter of the world! (besides me, of course)'
When he was about to leave the alley, looking for more cats, an anguished meow catched his attention. When he approached the area, hoping for another catch, he witnessed a scene that made him rethink the whole business about the Neko-ken training.
A bunch of children were beating a small black with a band-aid on his forehead. Soon after that, a girl charged in and frightened the boys off.
Genma stood there motionless, still trying to process the scene he had just watched. 'How could I have been so blind?' he thought, 'Cats are way too weak! Being rescued by a little girl, that's the ultimate humillation! Weak as a kitten, indeed!'
He almost proceeded to bash his head against a wall in frustration, but he suddenly had an idea. 'Wait a minute... The concept under the Neko-ken training is still very good. Perhaps I should adapt it to work with a stronger animal! After all, the main strenght of the Anything Goes Martial Arts is adaptability... Now, what animal should I use?'
The most obvious answer were tigers or other large felines, of course, but Genma quickly dismissed that idea. After all, he didn't want his son to be crippled or worse (Of course, he wasn't afraid of catching such a large and dangerous animal that could slice him up to ribbons). The same way, he quickly rejected all of the animals he knew of, as they were way too weak, or too strong.
Running out of options, he decided to check his Master's (shudder) items he had 'inherited' after his 'desaparition' for something that could help his son with the soon to be adapted Neko-ken training...
