Tokyo Archmage: Mysterious Hero [Episode 100093]

by Kender

As he considered his options, Ranma was uncertain if he wanted to reveal himself to Ukyo Kuonji. After all, she was someone from his past life, and since she didn't know what had happened, she was still after his head. Of course he could always inform her of the truth, of how the child he'd been had never been aware that she was a girl, but that would open up the possibility of her wanting to marry him then, and he didn't know if he wanted that. It wasn't that she was a bad girl, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to risk that. Besides, he was pretty sure that she would be able to handle the fight.

But then he realised that she would likely wind up hurt even if she did, and so he knew that he couldn't leave her like that.

His mind made up, he prepared himself and left to go help her.

Ukyo stood her ground, certain that she could take these jerks. They were tough, but so was she, and she knew that even without her spatula she could do some damage. And that wasn't including the fact that she still had other tricks up her sleeves, and could use them in a pinch.

However, there was a bit of fear in the pit of her stomach of what they'd do if they found out that she was a girl. A careless strike, or an odd grab, and they'd know her secret. They might feel chivalrous at that moment, but she didn't think they were the sort to be that way.

But she was not about to back down, and hefted the chunk of what was left of her weapon of choice as she faced down the gang.

"Nice of you to stay," Chain drawled, "So many people try and run, never giving a good fight. But then, when they do stay, they don't do much anyway."

"Hope you're amused," she muttered, "But you won't stay that way for long."

"That's pretty much right, since I'll be very happy, won't I pretty boy?"

"You wish."

"No, I know," growled the attacker as she sent his chain at her.

It came fast, and she dodged several times, but still managed to get cut. They were shallow wounds, but they stung, and she knew that they were only testing her skill level.

After one nasty hit just below her eye, he sneered, "Not so pretty are you now?"

"A little scrape isn't going to stop me," she declared and sent her smaller spatulas sailing at him.

But he stopped them by spinning his chain around so fast that it almost seemed like it was a solid shield. The weapons fell to the ground as bent pieces of metal, and obviously unusable. But he was fine, and still smirking at her as he stood there.

"Damn..."

"Well, let's see how you do if I really try," Chain told her, and brought his weapon around to send it at her.

She prepared herself for the strike, ready to move on a moment's notice.

Only when he sent it at her, it seemed to have a mind of its own. Instead of going at her, it made a U-turn and went back at him. It's links wrapped him up, and an arc of lightning came forth to zap him.

The problem was that it was too clear for such a bolt to come, and it came from the wrong direction as well. So, everyone turned to look and saw a figure standing there in a cloak, seemingly at ease on the roof he was on.

"Why you..!" Block called out, and charged over to climb up to hit the interloper.

The newcomer merely waved a hand, and the ground in front of the gang member blew up in front of him. He fell to the ground in a groaning heap, and the rest of his group were not happy at all. That didn't seem to faze the cloaked figure as he seemed to be smirking under the shadows of his hood.

Despite this, some of the gang decided to come up at him, only to wind up getting by things that moved so fast that they only knew that they were falling. Upon seeing their compatriots getting taken out so quickly, they realised that it could be more than they could handle. They stood there uncertainly for a moment while noting that going only one or two at a time didn't work.

So they looked at each other and nodded before charging over to attack him together.

Which proved to work just as well as a series of bolts came down upon them and sent all of them flying.

Left in an area that had quickly become filled with unconscious or groaning forms, Ukyo looked up at her rescuer while:
