Ukyo's eyes widened but her denial was automatic. "What do you mean 'Miss'? I'm a guy!"
Ranma winced. "Whatever. I leave the remainder to you."
Ukyo's eyes widened as the guy created a swirling doorway of light and vanished through it. A wizard?!
Chain began getting up. "Time to finish this without interference, boy!"
Ukyo grabbed a spare spatula and slammed the thug down before he could recover. What had she done to draw the attention of a mage, and how had he known she was a girl?
Ranma popped back to his lab and stepped through the barriers of his teleport circle.
He considered his spell load. A nice mix of things. He'd used one Kinetic Control, one Chain Lightning, a Dimension Door, a Teleport Without Error, a Detonation, and a Melf's Minute Meteors. He hadn't had to unlimber any of the big guns, which was good as the paperwork could be a real pain. As it was, he'd carefully used spells which could cause serious damage but had been "pulled" to cause less than full effect.
Now though he'd have to rest and regain those spells, and turn his attention to his next assignment. It looked like:
