Adventuring Companies shall consist of no less than two individuals and no more twelve. This counts only full members of the Companye and not those considered under subsection 4, paragraph e (see reference - Sidekicks, Hirelings, Henchmen, Animal Companions, Pets, Summoned Beings, Inanimate Objects, and Other Hangers On.)The Adventuring Companye shall have a name distinctive to its purpose or formation and consist of a group with different strengths and manners of dealing with situations.
At least one member of the Companye will have a tragic past, psychological problem, be carrying a Cursed Item (see Book IV, page 352, section 4e, paragraph 3 for acceptable definitions), labor under a Curse themselves (Book IV, page 350, section 3a, paragraph 2), be upon a Vengeance Quest, or similarly afflicted by Fate (Book VI, page 12, section 1a, paragraph 1.)
Addendum A: At least one member of the Companye, if it numbers more than four members, shall be of disreputable character or at least distrusted by other members within that Companye or the public at large or both.

The lifeboat continued to drift down.
Ranma continued to wonder if he could make a break for it.
"I'll check it out," volunteered the cheetah. "I'll use Clairvoyance."
"You know that spell?" asked the wizard, curious.
"No. I'm a Psion," said the kirrfolk. "What they call a Seer. Erma Of Daggerfield."
"A 'seer'?" asked Ranma.
"Someone who has trained their mind to use psychic powers of a clairvoyant nature," answered the wizard. "I'm Jaim, by the way."
Erma's eyes seemed to glow and shift color. "Got it. I'm looking around the opening now. I see some pretty heavy marks and what looks like claw scratches on the opening. BIG claws."
"See anything to indicate what kind of creature?" asked the knife-wielder.
"Big, clawed. I see tracks but they're all mixed together and not any animal I'm immediately familiar with," admitted Erma.
"It's going to be either flying or amphibious," pointed out Jaim. "There's not enough of an island for a sufficient ecosystem to support a land based predator."
"Unless it's similar to a medusa or similar magical creature that can exist on very little food," pointed out the knife-wielder. "For that matter there's a chance of yuan-ti."
"They're extinct or nearly extinct though," pointed out the dark elf. "They require humans as part of their reproductive cycle and the only one any of us have ever met is Ranma here."
That idea, what Ranma understood of it, gave Ranma all sorts of chills.
"Hmmm, there's motion," said Erma. "I see-"
