"Oh, really?" Kasumi murmured thoughtfully. "Why is that?"
"They share some of the same intrests, without being so similar that they would be rubbing each other the wrong way."
"But what about the others? It sounds like they could use somebody too."
"There are more ways to be involved in a girl's life than being their love intrest," the aasimon replied, "Now if you'll excuse me, I must be going."
"Goodbye."
"Aren't you going to follow your fiance?" Nabiki asked her younger sister.
Akane turned her back on the portal. "Not a chance! That stupid jerk can go after all the girls that he wants for all I care!"
"Is that so..?"
"Yes!"
Ukyo watched as Akane fumed and suffered the results of her actions before frowning at the portal. "So what would they have that would be so great?"
"You don't want an answer to that, do you?" Nabiki commented.
"And what if I do?"
"Then you would find out that she has the will of the gods behind her and her powers, as well as not having a history with him, or any sort of violence associated with her."
"You'd make me pay for it too, wouldn't you?"
"I'd suppose that I'd have to."
"Then why are you being so nice about it?" the chef asked.
"I am not stupid enough to let you guys get any diety mad at me."
There was much rolling of the eyes as her reasoning settled in, and:
