At last our guest has woken up. We needed some time and the help of some of our resident aliens. But Uhura and Hoshi had been able to translate the language.
So we had a nice long chat, before Bones threw me out of sickbay, because of the massive cellular damage of our guest. It looks like he needs a few weeks to a few month to get over it.
They call themselves Vritra and had just barley reached orbit of their planet, when an Invid ship crash landed on their planet. It looks like there hadn't been much left of the Invid ship, other than a tank full of protoculture, seeds of the 'Flower of Life' and some alien alloys. In the next few decades they had made a giant leap in their technology and gained access to hyperspace using a protoculture powered jumpdrive. They had build some ships and started to explore the universe. Unfortunately the Invid were the first aliens they meet. The had a war and the ship we encountered had the mission to get some of the best scientists away from their planet. But the Invid had managed to damage their ship and while in hyperspace, their protoculture reserves depleted so fast that they were forced to leave hyperspace la lot sooner as they would have needed to reach their first colony. So they entered cryostasis and tried to reach their colony with sub-light speeds.
Well, they obviously didn't make it, due to damage to their navigation systems. It is our duty to help them, so I have ordered to get the rest of the cryo-chambers aborad to wake the rest of the ships crew.
Wich brings me to your next problem. How do I tell them that their homeplanet is nothing more then a radioactive rock in space? We have encountered their planet two years ago, with a high number of wrecks in orbit. It looks like the Vritra didn't want their planet to be invaded and nuked it. Or the Invid nuked the planet. We don't know. We know it is that particular planet because we were able to get access to the other ships databanks and decode their, small, star map.
Other news is that Kirk won't be after our resident Amazons anymore. He finally got one of them pregnant. She seems to be rather intense when it comes to Kirk. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.
