On the bridge Captain Jack O'Neill of the EA Special Forces sat in the command chair and looked at his second in command, Commander Samantha Carter. The look on his face was the look he gave her every time, when she used to much technobabble.
"Could you repeat that in plain English, Carter?"
"Okay, sir," Carter sighed," Basically every time we open a jump-point, everything near it is ripped apart."
O'Neill started to grin.
"So we get some more Zents every time?"
"Yes, sir."
O'Neill rubbed his hand in anticipation and turned towards the rest of the bridge crew.
"Okay, campers," he said," We have some mail to deliver."

Slowly the fleet of Zentraedi ships moved through the space near the eighth plant of this solar system. Breetai had ordered several cruisers to directly follow Zor's fortress, but they had been destroyed by the escort of the ship that had appeared from nowhere in the time, the fleet had needed to get the exact position of the fortress.
In this calm a jump-point formed between three Heavy Cruisers. As it expanded, the quantum instabilities of the jump-hole sliced into the three Cruisers, while the surrounding heightened virtual energy and matter of the vacuum started to simply disrupt the normal matter near it. So the three Cruisers got sliced in two part only to be disintegrated.
Two second nothing happened. Than fifty 16 meter long shapes left the jump-hole with blazing solid thrusters. Each of these shapes had a 250kt nuclear warhead and the guidance systems locked on their new targets, 50 ships in the direct vicinity of the jump-hole.
As the last missile left the jump-hole, it closed without any trace of being there, other than some debris of the three cruisers.
In the following twenty seconds fifty short-lived nuclear suns shone directly in the center of the Zentraedi fleet, all of them destroying one or two ships in the direct vicinity of the detonation.
The Zentraedi never knew what hit them…
