But one that she absolutely and positively had to have in there was something that she didn't realise would have dampened any 'strong and tough' image she might have thought of.
However, she was set on the idea that this sort of house needed to have a cute animal mascot of some kind. It might be something as mundane as a dog that did something special like sleep a lot or was really smart, or it could be an odd creature with a special power all its own. What form it would take was different for each time, but they always had one. That small being likely would do nothing more than act like a special pet, yet it was integral to the situation as far as she was concerned.
Besides, she really liked cute things, and couldn't imagine a place like Tenchi's home without something like Ryo-oh-ki there to cuddle and play with all the time.
So when Ranma got up that morning, he went through a pretty regular routine. First he did some morning routines before getting dressed in some training gear. Then he went outside to the yard to go through some practice moves to keep his skill level up. And once he had worked up a good sweat, he went to turn to go inside to take a bath before he got something to eat.
Which was when he saw something sitting at his feet.
