She looked at Jack Ryan, her chief of staff, as he opened the door and stepped into the Oval Office. He had a manila folder in his hands. He looked concerned.
"What is it, Jack," she asked tired, sounding ten years older," Some apocalyptic new news?"
Ryan sighed and gave her the folder.
"It is apocalyptic, but in a good way I suppose."
Clarke looked at the large 'Eyes Only' stamp on the folder and the smaller title of the folder, 'Project Armageddon'. She opened the folder and was greeted by the sight of some documents and pictures.
"Was is this?" she asked and started to scan the documents.
"This is a project that was initiated in 2011, when we decoded most of the Zor-files. Some of our Russian scientists were concerned about the presumed strength of the Zentraedi and the Robotech Masters, but even they didn't dare to think that their fleet was that big. Anyway, back than, we still wanted to start extra solar colonization as early as possible. Basically we kicked those plans in the bucked as we noticed Zor's warning about the Zentraed and started to pump into EarthForce. But you know that."
He sat down on the couch next to the nodding Clarke who still scanned the documents.
"That was the time when 'Project Armageddon' was born. They took over the plans for the colonization ships and created the Noah-class ships. Basically they are colonization ships, but only for one time use only. Instead of landing the colonists using shuttles, the Noah enters atmosphere and does some kind of controlled landing. Down on the planet it provides shelter and supplies for a year, so that the colonists have time to create a agricultural and industrial infrastructure."
"Get to the point," Clarke said and looked at one of the pictures, showing a ship that looked like an Omega, but had a larger 'rotating' section.
Ryan sighed.
"Okay. Project Armageddon presumes the worst. Either the invasion of destruction of Earth and the solar colonies."
Clarke looked at Ryan. The look on her face wasn't really surprised.
"Continue."
"The basic plan is to get 40.000 refugees with each Noah and get every ship, with a small military support fleet, to a habitable planet within a hundred light years distance. Omega fleet has provided five of their White Stars to search for habitable planets in the last three years and build ten Noah-class ships. So we would be able to evacuate at least 400.000 people to ten different planets."
Clarke dropped the folder and closed her eyes to lean back. There was silence for the next few minutes.
"Why didn't anyone tell me sooner?"
Ryan sighed again.
"There was no need for that. Up until now the whole project was for the worst case scenario. And I think now we are in the worst case."

Captains Log, 30. September 2018, Captain Janeway
Its been a bit more than two weeks now since we encountered the ancient ship and it's frozen crew.
Belana's and Scotty's teams had been able to integrate some of the technology of the ship into the Voyager. The best thing is that we now have an alternate power source for our hyperspace jumpdrive. But according to La'Forge we have some sort of backlash from the protoculture into our ships systems through the jumpdrive. Not that it is a bad thing, it even get some of our systems to work on higher powerlevels. Our acceleration for example has risen fifty percent.
About our new guests. We had to convert deck 14 completely to a medical wing to help every of the Vritra. The Sentinals are a big help with that. Especially the Amazons and the mystics. Hundred of them are still in some kind of coma and twenty five couldn't even be reanimated after unfreezing.
I have told them about their destroyed homeplanet and some looked like they were ready to commit suicide. Well, now they get psychological help from us.
At the moment we are in hyperspace. We would have liked to remain in normal space for a bit longer to get more of the systems from the Vritra ship, but we had an Invid space-hive on our outer sensory perimeter. It forced us to blow up the Vritra ship and jump into hyperspace.
Other new is that Kirk's new 'wife' gets twins. A boy and a girl. We all hope that they get more from the mother than from the father.
