"What exactly is this?" Ami asked, poking with her fork at the odd dish.
Chicken pot pie, said Arkangel. I was introduced to it while training in the martial arts at a Marine base in Okinawa several years ago. It contains a number of the useful food groups in an interesting combination. After today's exercise, you need to eat up.
Staring at the red kanji for "Failure" stamped on Ami's forehead, Makoto let out a deep breath. "I don't think any of us are that hungry."
"Urp! Good! More?"
"-with one notable exception," added Makoto.
"Actually I worked up an appetite too," said Rei, smirking and still wearing her Dark Minion outfit.
"Why are you still wearing that?" asked Michiru, frowning but managing to wield the fork as if she used one every night. It was hard to look elegant with the red kanji for "Needs Improvement" on your forehead.
Haruka merely continued to jab her fork into the pie as if she had a grudge against it. She absolutely refused to acknowledge that her forehead was decorated with the kanji for "Below Par."
"It's really comfortable," said Rei. "Besides, I like the way it looks on me."
Trying not to say anything about the "Disappointing" on Makoto's forehead, Ami decided not to comment on Rei's preference in clothing.
"More salad?" Doctor Mizuno offered Hotaru.
"Yes, please," responded Hotaru who had modified her witch outfit. "So what are we doing tomorrow?"
Reveille will be at 04:00 hours, followed by a run and exercise routine, followed by a light breakfast. A slight break to digest before martial arts class.
"Hah, like you could teach me anything about fighting," said Haruka, still bruised in the ego department.
Oh? Think you're pretty good?
"I've never been beaten," said Haruka. "Don't think you could beat me without the fancy armor and tricks."
The armor seemed to melt away, and Ranma smiled. "Change of plans. Tomorrow morning we go with a light breakfast, brief rest, then a martial arts demonstration."
"Looking forward to having your butt waxed?" inquired Haruka sweetly.
"Haruka?" Michiru asked, her intuition suddenly placing an image of the Lost In Space robot into her head waving its arms around and yelling "Danger Danger." Maybe she'd been hanging around the Inner Scouts too long.
"...whoa..." said Makoto, staring.
"...aaaa..." breathed Hotaru, also staring.
Doctor Mizuno looked to the scarlet Ami and back at Ranma. "Don't stare at your estranged father dear."
"Gakkk," said Ami.
"I thought you said that you were kidding about that," asked Makoto.
"I was, if you'll notice he is closer to Ami's age," said Doctor Mizuno. "So, Ami, you like boys and girls?"
"GAKKK!" repeated Ami, falling out of her lawn chair.
"Haruka?" asked Michiru again.
"Don't worry. When have I ever lost a fight? Without his tricks, I'll be able to beat him easily," Haruka assured her mate.
Setsuna winced and merely was grateful that there was a doctor in the vicinity.
Due to most of them being exhausted, the Senshi ended up sleeping like the dead. They were quietly awakened shortly before dawn to find that a practice ring had been set up in the clearing near the cabin and Ranma was quietly stretching out.
