“Huh, what do you mean Nabiki?” asks Ranma.
“Ranma, there aren’t many people with as much ki as you had before the ring boosted your energy, and I doubt I could find anyone else who has enough to survive a bond with me now. So, I literally can’t survive without you for the time being.”
Ranma’s face turned a few shades of red at this when he realized just what this meant for the fiancée situation he was in. “Ah great, when they find out they’re going to go after you, and we still don’t know how to use our new abilities.”
Heh, Ranma’s face is almost as red as his female form’s hair, thought Nabiki. Sometimes I’m glad I don’t have a curse like that, but I’ve got to wonder what a male version of me would look like.
*Splash*
“Excuse me, could you tell me how to find the Tendo dojo?”
A now male Nabiki and female Ranma just point in front of themselves as they stop to look at the one who spoke, only to find Ryoga walking in the wrong direction after saying “Thank you.”
Ranma, deciding to break the silence, spoke up first, “Is it just me or did Ryoga not recognize us?”
“He didn’t recog... nize... us?” says Nabiki as she notices that she is now a he.
“Nabiki? Is that you?”
“Yes it is Ranma, I guess this is because of that Jusenken Talisman,” replies Nabiki as ‘he’ looks at Ranma. “And with you still wearing that Black Lantern outfit neither of us was recognizable. You might want to will your clothes back to normal soon, but out of sight.”
Ranma then ducks into an alley and wills her clothes back to normal before using the Umi-sen-ken to leave the alley unseen and get back to Nabiki, becoming visible again just behind her. “We better get some hot water before we get home.”
Oddly unsurprised, Nabiki just turns around and agrees.
