Tokyo Archmage: Monster Interruption [Episode 108088]

by Kender

"To be honest," Ranma said off handedly, "It's nice to see that my worries were a little more than what it was really."

"Oh? How is that?" Mrs. Aino asked.

"Well... When I heard what type of school it is, I was afraid that I'd be stuck with a bunch of troublemakers who'd rather get into fights than actually learn something."

"That's not out Minako for certain. She may be a little... absent minded, and day dream a lot, but your not like that, are you dear?"

Minako nodded as she didn't trust her voice at the moment. There was definately something that she wanted to get into, but her new studly teacher was wearing them.

"You see?"

Mister Aino shrugged. "Of course, we hope that you can help her, even if you're... well..."

"Young?" the archmage replied, "I'll do my best. But she doesn't have anything in her past that I should know about, does she? No fights of any kind? A habit of ignoring schoolwork? Troubles with boys that were major?"

"No, she does not. She might have problems with her classwork, but other than that, she hasn't been that much trouble. I mean, she even has a nice set of friends."

"And I sort of doubt that she's ever had any sort experience with romance other than a crush," his wife put in.

That was something that Minako could definately correct her parents on, but she wasn't about to reveal that set of secrets. Especially when she had no idea of what sort of problems that would bring when she had a chance for actual romance with a hot older man.

"Speaking of boys..."

Freezing in place, the Senshi of Love wondered if what she was certain was about to happen would not live up to her title.

"Yes?" the teacher asked.

"We do have a certain... concern involving her," Mr. Aino replied.

"I'm sure that you would, and I'll do what I... can..."

"What is it?"

"There is a monster of some sort in the area. And I don't think that waiting around for it would be good for you and your neighbors."

"Certainly not."

"Well then, I'll be just a moment, and we can talk after I deal with this problem, if you don't mind."

"We understand," Mrs. Aino assured him. "Just make sure to take care."

"I will," the younger man said with a nod and left.

Which put Minako in the unenviable position of being dropped suddenly just when she had been hoping for an end to her barren existance in the romantic department. She collapsed into her seat, deflating after all that expectation, and sat dully for a moment. But then she realised that if a yoma was in her neighborhood, she had better make sure that it was taken care of. So she eased her way to the door, and made not a single sound as she did so.

However, her mother caught her anyway. "Minako, what are you doing?"

"I... uh... well... I'm going to... check on Artemis! I'm going to make sure that he's okay!" Minako replied nervously. "I just don't want him getting hit by that monster or anything. And you know, craziness killed the cat."

"That's 'curiousity dear. And go, take care of your pet."

"Thanks Mom!"

"Such energy... If only she would use it in school..," Mrs. Aino murmured as she watched her daughter leave the room.

She didn't know that her daughter was using the opportunity to sneak out the back though, and she certainly didn't know just how and why a Sailor Senshi was at their house.

Sailor Venus wasn't about to tell them though, as she had many reasons not to. But at the moment, she had more important things to worry about while:
