Ranma's thoughts were cut off by the sound of the door sliding open. He didn't turn to see who it was because he knew, by the length of time he'd last been attacked, that the Nerimian Law of Eventuality had caught up to him. He'd even take Nabiki on in a bet that Akane was behind him, and she wasn't happy. He started counting in his head.
Five.
Akane quickly eyed the room. She immediately found something that wasn't supposed to be there.
Four.
"How dare you take advantage of my sister, you pervert?!?!"
Three.
That jerk isn't even saying anything! He better no be ignoring me!
Two.
Akane reared back with her mallet. "RANMA NO..."
One.
"BAKA!!!"
With that, she let loose on Ranma with a mighty swing of her hammer. He was caught be surprise. Not by the fact that he'd actually been able to predict a part of his life, though that was a bit of a shocker. But, that Akane hadn't sent him too far off in the sky. He was flying end over end in a low arc this time. He stretched himself out to stop his spinning, he was able to tell he was heading towards the park. Now, of course this meant that he'd unerringly hit the fountain, but if he was lucky and Uk-chan'd be there to dote over his wounds and clean him up a bit.
*SPLASH*
"Oh! Pig-tailed girl!"
Of course, his luck had never been his selling point...
"Oh, my..." Kasumi had begun to wake up when Akane had started yelling. She yawned and stretched a bit while Akane brought her mallet back. She was fully wake by the time Ranma had made his hasty evacuation of the room. Kasumi looked at her younger sister. She had put away the hammer and her aura was becoming less visible. "I do wish you would treat Ranma-kun better. He is your iinazuke..."
"He doesn't deserve it!" Akane bit out. "We never agreed to be engaged anyway. It's all daddy's and Saotome-san's idea!" With that, she stormed off in a huff.
Kasumi sighed softly. "And you don't deserve him..." She shook her head, pushing the thought out of her mind. It wouldn't do to think such things about her sister. She sighed again. Still, it wouldn't be this way if she'd taken the time to get to know Ranma before pushing him off on her sister... She blinked and put a smile on her face and got up. "Well, I had better get started on breakfast." After folding up the blanket and setting it aside, Kasumi set off to do just that.
However, she didn't notice the single eye that was open and watching her as she left.
"Grroowff..."
Ranma hobbled along on a walking staff approaching the Tendo compound. The trip back had been eventful, to say the least.
After she'd punted Kuno back towards his estate, she'd been attacked by Ryoga. It would figure that the eternally lost boy would've been camping out in the park. After explaining that he wasn't in Osaka, Ranma jumped away to avoid a Bakusai Tenketsu. Of course, the flying debris caught her in the leg, bruising her up real good. She laid into Ryoga with a Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken.
Keeping mostly on her uninjured leg, Ranma decided to roof-hop back to the Tendo's. No one could expect someone to be biking on the rooftops. So, of course, Ranma found herself flattened by the front wheel of the Nekohanten's delivery bike. This led to a happy "Nihao" and a happy bone-crushing hug by the amorous Shampoo. This, in turn, led to an unhappy Mousse unhappily unleashing a wave of chains in Ranma's direction. And wouldn't you know it... He actually managed to start the fight with his glasses on his face and it actually was Ranma's direction. Mousse managed to get a blade into Ranma's arm before Ranma kicked him into a nearby canal towards a feathery fate. Shampoo bid her farewell, saying that her Great-grandmother expected her back soon.
A few dozen meters away from the dojo, Ranma went back down to the streets. That was when Ukyo spotted her. She was starting to fuss over her injuries when Akane had turned the corner and saw them. Yelling about Ranma's usual infidelity, Akane promptly malleted her into a wall. That began Ukyo's argument over Akane hurting her Ran-chan. Both girls were too busy shouting at the other to notice Ranma hobbling away.
She was greeted at the door by Kasumi. She had a kettle of warm water ready for her. "Oh, my... I saved some breakfast for you, but let's take care of all that first."
Ranma smiled at Kasumi as she gently treated his wounds. "Um, about yesterday..." Cute was definitely the first word that came to mind when Kasumi's face quickly reddened. "I meant what I said,...
