So the two had had different problems adapting to finding themselves in a new world, especially as there were some major differences between their world of origin and this one.

The primary one being that:

• the two are the only humans on the planet, and have some degree of celebrity as such, much as elves would be if they showed up in Tokyo.
• due to a little problem that had occurred ten years prior to their arrival, both Genma and Ranma are among the few, the proud, the male.
• due to alien contact being made in the 1950s, a world that is part of a galactic society.
• due to magic being codified and developed, it's a magitech world.
• the two are the only known practitioners of martial arts on the planet.
• something else
