"This isn't for me. This for them," Shinji muttered to himself and looked up.
"Is there a way to prevent anyone from tracking this?"
The three genies looked at each other and then their master.
"We don't know, Master," Misato replied.
'Asuka is a bit behind the other two,' Shinji thought. "Asuka, I wish that this box can not be traced when we use it to break into the MAGI."
Asuka's eyes glowed red,a s her power flared. Panting a bit from the exertion, she bowed her head.
"When we use the box, the call will be routed through several different phone lines and bouced off a couple sattilites. Since it is being enhanced my magic, there will be no lag time."
"You did great, Asuka," Shinji said. "Take a moment to regain your strength before using the box."
"Yes, Master."
While the genies waited, Shinji took the time to set up the box properly. After a moment, the only cords that weren't connected were the ones that plugged into the genies. Shinji looked at them questioningly. The three nodded and stood from their kneeling position. They came over and looked at the box.
"We're going to need cusions," Misato said, as she used some of her power.
Three simple cusions appeared before the box. The genies sat before the box and waited.
Rei said, "Master Shinji, you will have to finish the connections,as well as unplug us when we're done. We're not quite skilled enough to seperate our awareness enough to do it on our own."
Shinji took a deep breath and picked up the blue cord. He slid it into Rei's belly with an audible click. When that happened, blips of blue light raced across her eyeballs and sh stiffened up. Turing to Misato, Shinji saw that his oldest genie had a wry grin on.
"I didn't expect to get this kind of hands on computer training when I was a kid, Master," Misato said and then nodded.
Shinji completed the connection and watched Misato go through the same thing as Rei, save color. As Shinji prepared to connect Asuka, he saw that she was staring at her belly button with quavering eyes.
"Asuka? Are you okay?"
The genie closed her eys and a single tear fell. Opening her eyes, she stared at Shinji.
"Master, when I do this, I'm going to feel like I lost someth.....nevermind," Asuka said and then hurridly whispered, "Please, just hurry up and get it over with."
Shinji nodded and slid the connector cable into Asuka's belly button. Like her two 'sisters' she stiffened up and had alignment colored motes of light flash across her eyes.
