“Ranma-sama, there was a ruckus involving a Scorpion earlier.” interrupted Korin, “If it wouldn’t be to bold, I would like to say, was there was assassination attempt?”
Ranma’s mood visibly darkened. “Yes. She made an attempt on my father’s live, but my wife took the needle in his place.”
“I am sorry,” replied Korin, “How is she?”
“She’s fine,” replied Ranma.
“I am glad to hear that.” Korin paused and continued, “Before Moto-san mentioned it in her... rant, I hadn’t heard that you were married.”
“We were wed after she recovered.” Ranma smiled and added, “I owe the person who captured that bitch.”
Korin nodded. “I would like to humbly take credit for disablleing the assasian.”
Ranma blinked. “It was you?”
“Hai, Ranma-sama,” replied the Crane.
“I never got your name, Crane-san,” stated Ranma.
“I am Kakita Korin.”
“Well, Korin,” Ranma looked the Crane clan bushi in the eyes, “I owe you a debt of gratitude.”
“There is no need to thank...” Korin paused in mid sentence has he heard the voice of Ruri and O-Ushi slowly draw near. “Ranma-sama, I would humbly like to ask for your assistance in avoiding your sister and the Dragon clan Samurai-ko Mirumoto Ruri.”
Ranma blinked. “Err… okay.”
Ranma opened the door to a storage room and pulled the Crane into it, and closed the door, leaving it just open enough so he could peer out the crack.
The entrance to the room opened, and through stomped a near exact double of his female form, followed by his tomboyish elder sister.
“Stay away from Korin,” hissed the Dragon. “He’s mine!”
O-Ushi raised an eyebrow and said, “It doesn’t look that way to me, he seems to be avoiding you when ever possible.”
“Okay, he’s not mine yet, but he will be!” she replied. “So stay out of the way!”
“Listen, Lizard-chan,” O-Ushi smirked and looked Ruri in the eyes, “You can keep the bird. I just want to see how he rides.”
Ruri turned bright red with embarrassment and anger, while Ranma heard Korin mumble “Doji protect me…”
Ranma’s jaw dropped. Here Korin was, the unwilling center of a love/lust triangle with a hammer-wielding tomboy and a mirror image of his former cursed form. Oh the irony!
