Ranma Saotome, son of Genma and Nodoka, didn't want to continue the family business. Since both parents were high level assassins - that wasn't as bad as it could have been.
No, Ranma wanted to be a HERO. As far as the parents were concerned, that made him crazy. They were both hoping it was just a phase he was going through. Though Nodoka DID approve of some of his new friends. They were attractive young girls, and lots of grandchildren would be nice.
If only he would just do some wetwork, it paid well and was the ultimate expression of martial arts.

Ranma held out a hand. "FORZARE!"
The windblast caused the yoma to brace itself against it. "This cannot harm one such as I!"
"It just gave me time enough for this," said Rei. "Akuryo Taisan!"
As the yoma became a smouldering corpse, then shimmered into ectoplasm, Rei took a deep breath. "That was a close one."
"The Red Court is getting awfully bold," replied Ranma. "I have the uncomfortable feeling it's going to get worse."

"Evangelion Venus Unit!" said Ranma. "Launch!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" screamed Minako as her Eva unit went through several high speed shifts and ended up at street level. "Dang! That was fun! Can I do it again?"
Ranma groaned and closed his eyes. "Focus, Minako. One thing at a time."

"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" said the squad of "pepper pots" as they rolled forward.
"Dragon SLASH!" called out Ranma, sending a roiling dragon-shape of chi towards the group.
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!"
"Jupiter Oak Evolution!"
"Love and Beauty Shock!"
"Uhm, Jaffa Zat'niktel!" said Daniel Jackson, figuring when in Rome and all that.

"I am the Doctor," introduced the girl.
"Isn't the Doctor a man?" asked Jack O'Neil, checking his UNIT database on his Palm pilot.
"There were complications in my last regeneration," said the girl, sighing heavily.
"It ain't my fault!" insisted Ranma.
"I didn't do it," said a blushing Hotaru.
"I didn't mean to!" insisted Minako.

"Oh! Oh! Yes! Ranmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
smooch smooch smooch. "Mako-chan."
Sailor Pluto's eyes were large and her jaw dropped. There was a certain fascination in watching car wrecks, train disasters, things of that nature.
She considered this happening just before the trip to China to be of the same general disaster category. IF Ranma had done THIS before meeting the Tendos...
There was absolutely no freaking way she'd have been able to keep Ranma in Nerima. None. Well, all she had to do was shift things again and...
Goodness gracious Makoto was more flexible than you'd think. Normally very strong individuals lost a great deal of flexibility. She was also very responsive apparently, once Ranma found that space along the collarbone - she was WRITHING and not in the manner of pain.
Heck, even if she chained Ranma to Nerima, after THIS - Makoto would practically graft herself onto him. No, it was definitely best to shift things again, this wouldn't do at all.

"Oh yes! YES!"
"Gak!" said Sailor Pluto, it taking a lot to embarass her but this was managing it. Well, no problem. She'd just-
"COWABUNGA!" said a lemming, holding a tiny surfboard over its head and rushing past her.
Sailor Pluto blinked. She couldn't have seen that. Nope. Overwork.
"MIAMI BEACH AT LAST! WAHOO WHOOHEE!" said a large crowd of lemmings in Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts as the stampeded past her.
Sailor Pluto blinked twice, making a squeegee sound somehow.
Slowly she turned her attention to the Gates Of Time.
A beach scene with gentle waves lapping up against the shore. Over the scene were the words "Please Stand By" in friendly lettering.
