Doctor Shimoda smiled. "Well, first and for most, I must say that you are a quite healthy young lady. Even better than when you were last here."
"Well, I have been taking some martial arts lessons lately."
"From a competant instructor, I hope."
"Ranma-kun is the best."
"I see..."
"It isn't like that."
"If you say so..."
"Can we get on with the rest of the results..."
"Of course. Well, all in all, except for one detail, you are quite healthy for an expecting mother of your age."
"I'm WHAT?!"
"It is a little early to be certain, but I am sure as I can be at this point."
Nabiki looked at her gynocologist as if she were insane. "You're telling me that I am..."
"Pregnant? Yes, that is what I am telling you."
"But that's impossible! I've never even done it!"
"And from what I have seen from my examination," said the older woman matter-of-factly, "I know you haven't."
"What?"
"Your hymen is still intact."
"But that would mean..."
"Exactly."
"How is that possible?!"
"I wouldn't know, but in this ward, I'm not completely surprised."
"That's taking it well."
"Miss Tendo, I have patients that cross-dress, ones that can pull change ages and some that use substances that would be controlled if the government knew about them. I have come to expect the unexpected."
"What am I going to do?"
"Simple. You go home and think about what you want to do. Talk to the father if you can find him."
"And how do I manage that?"
"Figure out what was odd that happened to you a few weeks ago and work with that."
The middle Tendo frowned in thought. "But the only thing that happened was when Ranma-kun... Oh my."
"So, I would talk to this 'Ranma' if I were you."
Nabiki nodded and rose dully to say her goodbyes. She had to get back to the house to talk to Ranma. The massage couldn't have done this, could it? But he had to know, and soon.
