In the last cell, rested Umbrella's final option. Hinako Ninomiya was a mystery to their mundane science, unable to explain her unique metabolism that was able to feed off of another's energy to maintain her own stability.
They didn't understand it... but they were willing to try and exploit it.
Thus, G-Counter. Her body altered, she would, theoretically, be able to adapt to any situation or condition. Anything that did not kill her outright (and maybe even then!), she would survive, and be stronger for it.
But they learned that she needed energy... any energy, to remain stable. Without it, her body could not handle the changes made, and would begin to break down.
Hinako rested in her cell, not awake or asleep. A wire was connected to a plug in her neck, providing the minimum required energy to maintain her. As far as they knew, should anything happen to that flow of electricity, all that would occur would be G-Counter's death.
Like with the others, they were mistaken. They had overestimated how much energy she needed. She would not begin 'starving' for several hours, should she be disconnected.
More than enough time for her to escape, and find a new source.
And so Hinako lay in her cell, as she waited for the moment of her release. Whether or not anything was left of her mind... only time would tell...

At the other end of the complex, another figure was kept in stasis. He was to be the ultimate test for the countermeasures, Umbrella's latest Tyrant.
He was also the source of the mutated T-Virus, slowly making its way into the testing area... but no one knew that yet.
His features were much changed, there was nothing about him that suggested his original identity. Save that someone got creative, or perhaps just inspired, by that identity.
The Tyrant was covered in chains. spikes and blades poked out from flesh, enough to cut a man to ribbons in a single pass. It was, visually speaking, the most intimidating Tyrant to date... and speculations ran that its combat ability was just as deadly as it seemed.
What the scientists didn't know, though, was that its mind wasn't gone. This was no beast, with a mind comparable to a smart dog or chimpanzee. It had a sharp mind, waiting to be released. Flutters of memories of its previous life passed through its mind as it waited.
The amazon male Mousse was long gone. The project's name was Kusari, but most of the workers had their own nickname for the thing.
They didn't know how right they were to call it "The King of Hell."
