Chi Spellbook?!: Beware the Flying Thunder [Episode 11310]

by Jamil Nate

Meanwhile, in Tokyo airport, a new player in Ranma's life was passing through customs. She was an attractive chinese woman in her mid-twenties wearing an european-style business suit. She didn't seem to mind the long procedures she was put through. Finally, the customs agent give her her papers back. He gave her a company smile "Everything is fine. Have a pleasant stay in Japan, miss Tseng"

The woman put back her papers in her purse and returned the employee's smile "Thank you. As soon as my business here is done, i'll do some sightseeing. Goodbye" She bowed respectfully and left. No one heard her mutter in ancient chinese a most dire curse at the racist monkey spawn who dared make her lose her precious time.

Tanaka Sanshiro, customs agent at Narita airport, married and father of two children, suddenly contracted a rare disease who would claim his life a few days later.

In the taxi who was taking her to her hotel, miss Tseng showed no signs of remorse for having condemned a man to a slow and miserable death just because he subtly harassed non-japanese orientals he controlled.

No, she was Fei-Lei, the Flying Thunder, immortal chinese sorceress and all those who crossed her would die at her hands.

Hua Lin was born in a small and poor chinese village in the year 50 AD. She grew up in a beautiful woman and attracted the attention of an imperial functionnary who took her as a concubine against her wishes. She was taken to the imperial palace and subjected to her new master's sadistic whims, making her life hell.

All this changed when she 'befriended' Shen Gao, one of the emperor's eunuchs who was secretly a powerful sorcerer. She learned magic from him or stole what he wouldn't teach her. The eunuch was amused by all this and wanted to see how far a mere woman would go in mastering sorcery. After all, he was a man and her superior in every way, should she go too far he would dispose of her easily.

Underestimating his pupil led to his downfall. When she was confident enough, she denounced him to the authorities and faked her death in the explosion of Gao's laboratory. She had already took all his mystic lore to a safe place where she continued to unlock the secrets of chinese sorcery.

In her quest for power, she discovered the alchemical secret of immortality, remaining eternally young and beautiful. The potions needed to maintain her life required rare and exotic ingredients so she used her powers for personal gain. She changed her name into Fei-Lei for her favorite way to strike terror in her enemies was to arrive riding a lightning bolt.

Centuries passed. Fei-Lei saw dynasties rise and fall, the coming of the westerners, the fall of the Empire (good riddance) and the rise of Communism. All this time she killed many women and took their place to better blend in Society. Now, she was Tseng Liu, the CEO of a movie production firm in Hong-Kong.

She didn't live this long by being carefree and overconfident as her old mentor. She regularly consulted the I Ching, the book of changes, to plan ahead of threats to her power. She was in Japan because of the last divination she performed.

A child will be born of the Touch of the Virgin Mother, he/she will be her doom. He will be found in the stables of the warlord of the Rising Sun. A child destined to do great things.

Look out Nerima, the Flying Thunder is coming !
