Hotaru was the child of a mazoku and a human sorcerer in this life. Ranma the warrior who had ducked out on his father to seek his own fortunes. Currently the two were on a small island amidst scattered bits of wreckage. It would be another day before the first other survivor would be drawn to the smoke of their fire from what she could see.
During that period it would be the first time this world's Hotaru would find herself at peace and feel truly welcome.
A glance elsewhere revealed that the mighty fleet prepared to explore the rest of Cepheid's World had been scattered about like a child's toys, the folly of Lina Inverse using a Dragon Slave close to the water and the resultant tsunami-like waves.
Lina Inverse herself, Gourry Gabriev, Amelia, and Zelgadis were all far to the South and still drifting.
Sending her vision elsewhere, Sailor Pluto saw that Naga was off annoying someone else and likewise distant - a hot springs resort on an island not even close to where anyone else was that Pluto could think of checking on.
Which was good, as the thought of a Sailor Naga was too frightening for words.
A glimpse of a familiar face, and Pluto was checking on another familiar face in an unfamiliar role. In this case it was:
