Upon hearing that, Genma allowed himself to nod. The girl looked sturdy enough, and with the eyeing that she was doing of his son, it was clear that he'd get a chance to get to keep his head on his neck. Combined with the fact that the girl moved like a martial artist, she looked like the best choice out of the group.
"Me?" Makoto squeaked happily. She was going to get to marry the hunky guy with the toned physique? Sure it was really sudden, but this was not just an idiot off the street. He was cute, even if he was not very perky at the moment.
Of course, the sour looks that several of her sisters were sending her way didn't mess up her sweet little vision.
Ranma just sat there and wondered what the heck he should do. He'd been dragged off to a place where there was one guy with a whole bunch of daughters, none of whom had were really put out by his curse. And now he had a fiancee.
"But I wanted to be engaged to him," Minako pouted.
"Maybe she'll share?" Morrigan commented.
Several of the other girls proceeded to give her droll looks.
"What?"
"In any case," Setsuna murmured, "I do believe that this will mean that we will be having our guests stay, which means that we'll have to prepare a space for them won't we?"
Her father nodded. "That is true. Even without the engagement, I could never let my oldest and closest friend sleep out in the streets. It is good that you reminded us of that."
"Well, even a grapefruit has its moments."
"Exactly."
The look she sent him could have frozen lava, though it rolled over the Tendo Patriarch.
"I'm just so happy though. My little baby's going to get married!"
"That she is. And it is time for us to celebrate. Perhaps a litle drinking," Genma commented, and nudged his friend with an elbow, "and maybe you can show me where you get your evening company..."
The suggestion made most of the girls give the portly man a dark look.
For his part, Ranma completely missed what his father meant. So he merely watched and blinked as:
