Ranma glared at his reflection. He was... a little fuzzball. That was bad enough -- he couldn't think of something less able to defend itself. He was cursed to forever be small, cuddly, and helpess. It couldn't possibly get worse.
He glared some more, and then amended that last thought. Yes, it could. To heap insult upon mortal injury, he was pink! PINK!
He turned his eyes upward. SOMEONE up there was having a grand old time at his expense, and he hoped they were amused. He certainly wasn't.
He glowered (cutely, too, damnitall!) around, looking for something to vent on. Oh, wait -- he didn't have any arms or legs, so he COULDN'T vent. And the only sound he could make was this blasted 'meep meep' sound.
"MEEP!"
He froze as he heard an odd gurgling sound behind him. Odd, that. It reminded him of when he was hun...
Oh, no. He slowly turned around to face... a giant panda looking at him in a way that was NOT very reassuring. It somehow managing to lick its chops was likewise... disconcerting.
"Meep MEEP!" [GO AWAY!]
It suddenly lunged at him and snatched him up in its teeth, his futile struggles notwithstanding. No! It wasn't going to end like this! It wasn't FAIR!
He bent at his oddly shaped waist and tried to take a chunk out of his attacker's nose. Suddenly, the teeth let go and the panda howled and pawed at him. He grinned and bit down harder. Ha! Take that!
He let go and landed on the ground, managing to dodge a swipe by a giant paw. Then, on the follow-up strike, he again bit down, this time fastening his teeth on a thickly-furred arm, and then... well, let his instincts take over. Apparently, this involved some kind of swarming, as he found himself somehow bouncing all over the vicious (and hungry) beast, leaving absolutely huge bite marks behind him.
Hey, this wasn't so bad after all...
He stopped to rest a moment, and then looked proudly at his handiwork. One black, white, and (very) red hulk shuddering on the ground in front of him.
He then glaced back into the pool. Okay, it WAS that bad. But at least he wasn't defenseless. He opened his mouth wide, and blinked at the absurdly oversized teeth that simply seemed to appear. Definitely not defenseless.
Now, what was the guide saying earlier?
