'But to do that I'd need my bokuto, but that's destroyed. And it's not like they grow on trees..,' he thought to himself and then blinked as a sudden realisation hit him. 'It did grow on a tree!'
With his sudden insight, he started following a new direction in his thoughts. His bokuto had been carved from wood from a sacred tree. Which meant that there had to be more tree left, and most likely it was still growing. All he'd have to do would be to head to Okayama, see the priest at the shrine there, and hopefully get a branch or something. Then he'd be able to carve another bokuto and use it to show everyone that his training hadn't been in vain.
