Cepheid's Senshi: Golden Moon [Episode 118144]

by Kender

As she started struggling up towards consciousness, Pluto cracked her eyes open, but saw only blurs through them. Groans stumbled past her lips, and she rubbed at her face in an attempt to get the strain out of it. She felt totally wiped, and knew that she should get up, but felt reluctant to do so. Something just made her want to crawl into a hole and pretend that nothing else existed.

And then as she sat up, she remembered that she had just been visited by a mazoku, and found out that he was her father. Which meant that she was a half-breed, and he'd shown her a woman that only the self-abusive would find appealing when she'd asked about her mother.

All of which were not in directions that would appeal to the Time Guardian.

But considering the source, she realised that she couldn't trust what he was saying. He was a mazoku, and a creature of evil after all. Which would mean that he just might lie to get a rise out of her, so that this way he could either feed on her emotions, confuse her, or both. It would work to her advantage, and not be something that she would want to rely on, especially without outside proof.

Thinking that way made her feel a whole lot better, as it gave her a perfectly reasonable explanation for his actions. This way, she didn't have that... monster as a father, and her mother would not be someone who had a chest akin to superballs and a laugh that would start a mass exodus of woodland creatures. She could assume that he was lying, and not worry about the fact that half of her came from a race that she'd been fighting against for so long.

Part of her felt like she'd done that before, but it was ignored.

Instead, she tried to stand up and stretch her back to get the odd ache in it before she turned back to the Gate. That at least couldn't mislead her, and would follow her instructions.

So she nodded to herself and headed over to do something that she was sure that she should have done much earlier. She began to search for the Princess. Usagi was the center of what had been needed for Crystal Tokyo, and now Pluto wanted to now what the time shift had done to her. That would help to let her know just what sort of plans she would need, and that would be of big help.

Besides, she needed to reassure herself that not everyone was changed that much.

So she looked.

And then she looked some more.

The third time didn't help.

It wasn't that she had any problem seeing Usagi, but that she had trouble comprehending how the universe could be so mean to her again.

Usagi bit her lip and began to wonder if this was such a good idea. She knew that she wasn't the best in the questing department, but she'd been told that she had to go, so she went. A part of her wondered if it was something that she had done, but then she hadn't been given any real hint that she was in trouble again. It wasn't as if she tried for it though. Things just sort of seemed to... happen, as she was unusual, and that made for a life that wasn't easy to get through without some problems.

At least with being half-golden dragon, she wasn't that likely to get into things that would be a major problem for her.

Of course, that was despite her habit of getting into problems that were much simpler, and annoying than anything she'd need her draconic abilities for.

Despite seeing the proof for herself, Pluto decided to investigate, and started checking out the history of this version of Usagi. Though she managed it quite easily, it was a hard thing for her to swallow.

Instead of being a reincarnated princess from the moon, this blonde came from a mixed couple. But instead of having a mazoku parent, she had one that was a golden dragon. Her other parent was an adventurer who'd come across the dragon, and after some time, they'd had a child.

That same child was the current version of Sailor Moon, and one that she was realising wasn't of a race that didn't like Xellos' kind. The fact that it might just mean that she would be stuck with having to overcome that hurdle was not that appealing, though she did have a few moments of happy daydreaming as she considered all the things that the dragons would like to do to her 'father'.

Buoyed by those imaginings, she turned her attention to the work at hand, and decided to check on:
