Luckily, Asuka had not taken any disadvatages when she was working on flying.
Mostly from not thinking about flight in that regard, actually. Her axiom had been, 'With great disadvatages comes great powers.'
She took a small breath, backed up a step, then took two forward and then shot off the ground with a mighty 'wooooosh'!
Shinji blinked. He hadn't thought she would get the hang of it that fast. Rei was distracted by an errant thought from herself at the mall. That outfit would look pretty good on her, she decided.
And Asuka's thoughts? For just a moment, she was a carefree child again. No pains, no self-inflicted demands. She was the little girl that could fly. Tears of joy were wipped away by the wind.
Just a moment before she went super-sonic. Then she started to worry.
She did have an awful lot of points to spend from all of her disadvantages, after all.

Maya looked over her Castle of Silence. It was shaping up quite nicely.
BOOOOOOOM!
"What the hell was that?" the assistant scientist asked herself.
Bidden by her spoken desire, the floor released a mist that formed a picture of a certain red-haired girl flying over the Pacific.
"Asuka?"

"We have managed to narrow one of the patterns out, sir."
Gendo looked over at the technician flatly. "I thought you said that the MAGI would not be able to decipher the patterns this quickly?"
"That's right. There were just too many human patterns overlapping here in Tokyo-3. But one of the sources just shot out over the Pacific. We should have a satallite feed in just a moment.
Another technician piped up. "Video feed on Screen 1 now!"
Gendo stood up, his hands flat on his desk. "Is this some kind of joke?" His voice was not raised, nor his inflection changed. But everyone in the room shivered from his intensity.
"I-I-I don't know what's going on. It's the Second Child. But she doesn't have this sort of capability!"
"What do the MAGI say?" Gendo demanded.
