The changes were rapid, when compared to the human growth process, but subtle enough that they weren't immediately noticeable to anyone watching. It would have been more obvious had an observer left the room for an hour or so and then come back, several times in a row.
The pokegirl's system digested the remnants of the chrysalis quickly enough, then put the energy and raw material gained from that to work. She grew taller, and lost the "baby fat" look common in children, while retaining an inherent cuteness in her features - heart-shaped face and large eyes. Musculature grew in, adding definition to her figure, but retained a subtle, wiry appearance - she didn't look like a bodybuilder, but would probably have an equivalent strength. Dress her in anything less than skin tight, and you'd never know she was in that good a shape. Her skin dried out, becoming visibly paler, until it was the colour of moonlight. The white-blonde hair she'd possessed darkened to a golden hue, and grew shaggily to midway down her neck. Her nails darkened, and Ash thought, from the slight thickening of her fingers, that she had claws - retractable ones, but still.
The pokegirl's overall appearance, then, was a petite, pale figure in her late teens or early twenties, with a dancer's slender but strong physique. She looked a little tomboyish and wild with her hairstyle, but retained an overall "cute" appearance - at least, looking at her face. Anyone whose gaze ventured below neck level would have proof positive that they were looking at a female, since she was generously, but proportionately, endowed.
Just after sunset, the pokegirl stirred. Yawning (and incidentally flashing longer and sharper canine teeth than any human's - she'd apparently kept some of her fangs) - the pokegirl opened a pair of wide, blood-coloured eyes and gazed adoringly at her new master.
"Hello," she said to him.
