[Episode 12392] [Episode 12392]Ryoga leapt away from another attack from the former Golden Pair. The two were far beyond the zombies or Kuang-shi they had been facing before now. The were fast, faster than he was, and they obviously remembered how to fight. He thanked what good luck he had that the Golden Pair's fighting style depended on skates, skates they didn't have. Between that and the weird aura they had, Ryoga wasn't faring too well, and needed every bit of help he could get!
Then he got lucky, and managed to land a punch on Azusa (always a personal fantasy of his...)
But something was wrong! The Aura around Azusa raced up his arm! He screamed in pain as he felt it ripping through his chi! No wonder they took Akane out in one shot... as it was, he would be unable to his arm again for a while. He realized that the Pair had stopped attacking him. Looking around, he saw them concentrating on Ukyo instead! He powered up his Shi Shi Hokodan, and launched it at Mikado... only to have it countered by that aura. Damn it, he thought to himself, that this is eating chi!
Ukyo was in bad shape. The Pair were playing with her, like a cat with a mouse. And they were laughing every time she cried out!
That was when Konatsu flew out of the surrounding melee. He must have seen Ryoga's attempt to fight them, because he had taken off the shirt of the strange, elastic cloth they had all been given to wear, and was using it to insulate himself. Or at least he tried to. It didn't work, as he fell to the ground yelling as Ryoga had. All it did was bring the Pair's attention to him.
As Ryoga heard Konatsu howling, he wracked his brain for any ideas that might stop these... monsters. Then he punched the wall in frustration.
His hand went right through the wall. Ryoga hadn't thought his punch that strong, but now wasn't the time. He gripped, and yanked a section of the wall away, revealing rock beneath. He had a good sized metal plate in his hand.
He didn't stop, didn't think about it. He just slammed the plate into the undead pair, knocking them away from Konatsu. Gripping the plate with both hands, he descended on Mikado, and just started slamming away, until all that was left of the former playboy was a putrid pile of flesh and bones.
Even Gaki could not return after that much damage.
Ryoga turned, and saw Shampoo doing the same to Azusa. Elsewhere, he saw the battle was ending.
Ryoga made his way to Akane. He was relieved to see that she was still breathing, although she was also still unconscious. He let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. It looked like everyone was all right...
"NOOOOO!!" an anguished scream cut through his relief. He turned to see Ukyo shaking Konatsu.
Shampoo leapt over to them, as did Ryoga. Shampoo pulled the chef away from Konatsu, while Ryoga checked him.
Konatsu was too pale, too still. A quick check revealed what he feared...
The male Kunoichi was dead. Another casualty of these sick tests...
