His reason for creeping around the place just happened to be them as well. Walking down the hall became an exercise in stealth, and he had to be careful when he wasn't around breakables. Oddly enough, that was when he was in for the most trouble.
After all, both girls knew that they'd be in trouble if they broke anything that couldn't be easily replaced. Not that they thought that he'd ever get rid of them, but they did not want him to be that displeased. That wasn't their goal, and their tatics had a sound reason behind them.
Of course, that reasoning was rather screwy in and of itself.
But then, Ranma wasn't too worried about that. If he was totally honest, he'd have to agree that this time it really was all his fault. He didn't want to admit it, but then he had little choice in the matter. So his current activity of slipping down to the kitchen for a glass of water was welcome, as all his attention was on arriving there without incident.
Taking a moment to look about, he darted inside and leaned against the wall in relief. "I know that they don't do it all the time, but it sure seems that way sometimes... But I'm safe..."
"I do not believe that it's time to add to our efforts," Rei told Asuka as the two of them sat snugly in a closet.
The redhead smirked. "Don't you worry. Besides, what could go wrong?"
"Your last plan to constantly... 'blitz' him did not work out well. He now tends to watch the shadows."
"A minor set back. Besides, this fits."
"I do realise that as young women involved with him, it is our task to defeat him. However this course of action does not seem wise. I think the hammer is simply some kind of metaphor."
"I think it's just some kind of weird foreplay!" Asuka declared with a grin. "Besides, don't you want to go on as we both want to?"
"Certainly."
"Good. Then soon enough we'll be able to get him but quick!"
Rei certainly hoped so, as she did have knowledge that she was supposed to be moving in such a direction.
Then again, that was because Ranma had wondered for a moment if having girls with him always meant that they'd want to fight to get him. It'd always seemed that way, and he'd been the last person asked before some girl came to beat him over his head to drag him off.
However, she wasn't about to analyze the source of her reasons, and continued to listen to her companion's plan while:
