‘High powered spells. Lots of collateral damage. Must be the real Lina Inverse. I wonder how that bandit Lina Inverse is doing?’
The Daemon girl noticed a man wrapped all in ochre colored clothing travleing with a man carrying a pole axe and had another axe hanging from his waist. Feeling a bit curious, Sherra faded to the Astral plane so she could eavesdrop, as the two hurried on their way.
“Master Zelgadis, are you sure about this?” the man with the axes asked.
Zelgadis sighed as he replied, “Yes, Rodimus. Somehow Lina Inverse has accquired magic boosters. They might not be as effective as the Philospher’s Stone, but allowed her to cast Blast Bomb.”
Rodimus asked, “That’s not what I meant. I meant, are you sure you should have kept it secret from Rezo?”
Zelgadis reamained quiet for a while before answering. “Yes. Rezo turned me into this dammed chimera form, and I need something that will give me the edge in destroying him. Those toys of Lina’s might do it for me. The only real problem is that we have no idea where she is going. Zolf said that the two people she joined up with are leading the way somewhere, but he’s not sure where. Her group has already passed the city Telmoord and they’re about to cross over into the country of Ralteauge.”
“That’s crazy. She’s covered quite a distance. Normal travel is a bit longer.”
“I know. She’s not normal, remember? Bandits flee from her. That will cut some of delay out right there.”
Sherra took a closer look at Zelgadis. He looked to be a cross between a human, golem, and one of the Brau Demons. Smirking a bit, the Mazoku left the two alone. After warping to a town near Telmoord, she contemplated on what she heard.
‘Lina Inverse has some sort of magical booster. If she is the one who took the talismans, Xellos will have some fun with her. After she is taken care of, I guess I should keep the Lina Inverse legend alive. Don’t want the bandits to get to secure.’
