That was an odd stance, considering that he was rather direct in other aspects of his life. If he'd visited some free health clinic in need of painting, he volunteered to paint, never bothering to hire someone else to do the work. Unlike some of the other heirs to fortunes that she'd met, he was not one for 'airs' or shirking work, but she was not sure that his approach was quite ready for the business world as of yet. He tended to go straight at things, even when a more careful touch was needed.
Still, he had proven that he was no slouch when it came to the ladies. No opportunities had been taken as far as she knew, but what she was seeing showed that it wasn't because they weren't there. Hotaru seemed to completely adore Ranma, and one of the human girls they employed seemed to have similar feelings. Humans doing such jobs might have lessened in numbers, but there were things that made them still in demand, especially for the more creative or personal things. In this case, it had resulted in one of the girls turning her attention to her son, just like one of the persocom had. It wasn't the fake looks that came from those seeking gain in trapping a wealthy boy. Rather, it was clearly the gaze of a pair that were truly attracted to her son, but hadn't worked up the nerve to do anything about it.
She was a mother, so she knew these things.
And she had no problems with the situation as it was developing, what with a pair of girls both wanting Ranma. There was a romantic part to her, and the idea of a 'love beyond technological bounderies', or a 'servant girl who finds true love with her employer'. Not that she was about to push the situation... yet, but she did like it so far. Either way, her son would get someone who truly wanted him, though each might bring problems to the relationship, not the least of which was the fact that joining with one would mean at least another role for the other.
Of course, he might not want either, or nothing might come of it. So, she'd see about introducing a few... eligible girls past him. If he found one that he liked, then that would be wonderful, but it could also work to push Hotaru and the servant into acting. It might not be much, but if Ranma got some signal that drew him in the right direction, then Nodoka didn't have to worry. Even if she was a highly wealthy and powerful woman, she still wanted grandkids to cuddle and play with.
Idly musing about the situation that she was facing, she gave a small smile while:
