Then pilots were led to sickbay and blood samples were taken of all the pilots, after that the pilots were escorted to pilot country.
Rick and Dana had found themselves in same briefing room that Rick, Lisa, Max, and Ben had been debriefed in when they were rescued by Skull after their escape, form the Zentreadi so long ago.
Sitting at the table was Captain Gloval, Colonel Mastrof, Dr Lang, Commander Hayes and Roy Fokker.
Admiral Hunter began the debriefing. Rick told them everything, the Rain Of Death and how the first Robotech War ended with the final deathtoll of six billion humans. The reconstruction, then of the Malcontent Uprisings and how the insane Zentradi Khyron fanned the flames of unrest, and the destruction of the SDF-1 and the newly built SDF-2 in a kamikaze run.
Then colonization efforts and of the construction of the SDF-3, the formation of the REF, and its mission to find the Robotech Masters and negotiate with them if possible.
How it failed because the SDF-3 arrived too late. Instead the REF fought a different war to liberate Triol and the surrounding systems form the Invid regent.
Then of the rise of the Southern Cross. Of the second Robotech war against the Robotech Masters and their there search for the stolen Robotech factory and the protoculture matrix hidden deep inside the SDF-1 How the Robotech Masters and Southern Cross annihilated each other.
The destruction of the Matrix and the spread of the Flower of life spores across the planet and the coming of the Invid Regis.
Admiral Hunter then continued. Explaining of the plan to free earth the build up of the REF fleet and of the various colonies tapped for support. He omitted nothing explaining the plan in detail including the Neutron S missiles if Earth could not be retaken.
"Bullshit!!" Colonel Mastrof slammed his fist into the table. "You expect us to take everything you told us at face value, without any proof to back up your claims?! Not to mention the fact that a one star Admiral was personally leading a squadron to battle is ridiculous?!"
Roy Fokker spent the entire time listening carefully, watching this man, this Admiral Hunter. He was so different from Rick, yet...
"Why did you lead the Diamondbacks into battle?" Roy said, interrupting Mastrof. "What was so important that it required an Admiral to get into a Veritech and fly into combat?"
Up until this moment Rick tried to focus anything other Roy. Now he had to look directly at Roy.
"You were going to die today Roy. You have got to be more careful little brother."
"'Little' brother? Since when did I become your little brother?"
"Since I turned forty!" Rick smiled.
Roy recognized that smile. 'Oh yeah that's definitely Rick.'
Rick looked back at Colonel Mastrof. "As for evidence of our claims, I'm sure you'll find the DNA result interesting."
"We know the Zentraedi are clones. What is to say that you and your pilots aren't some sort of clones yourself?"
"I have two bits of evidence Captain. When this ship ran the Zentraedi blockade, all pilots were scrambled except me, Ben Dixon and Max Sterling, who were turned back by Commander Fokker after threatening us with his reckless driving and to throw us in the brig."
Gloval turned to Roy. Roy just nodded his head, Gloval turned his attention back to Admiral Hunter.
"My second bit of evidence is..." He smiled a grim smile. "Max Sterling."
"What does that mean?" Mastrof ranted.
"He was never captured by the Zentradi, but what does that prove?" Lisa spoke up.
Rick just looked at Dana, "Lieutenant, introduce yourself."
Dana stood up. "I'm Lt. Dana Sterling, I believe you are all familiar with my father, Max Sterling...
