Thunder Ken: Mercury's Feelings [Episode 131988]

by Kestral

Sirens approaching caused Thor to look heavenwards, but all he saw there was overcast skies. No magical answer appearing.

With one hand he grabbed up the CD player that had apparently identified him.

"Huh. HEY!" Mercury protested as she was scooped up and placed under that arm.

"Apologies. This conversation needs be within family and not with interruption from without," said Thor, using his free arm to twirl the hammer rapidly and then throw it.

The real Thor would have used a chariot drawn by three goats. Since he didn't have that, he'd just have to continue using Mjolnir.

Having caught the thong, Ranma tried not to consider that this was essentially flying by picking himself up by his own bootstraps.

"WUGHHH!" involuntarily said Sailor Mercury at the sudden acceleration and having her tummy driven inward by the force coming down on an unmoving arm.

"We ought to get moving too," said Sailor Moon as the friends watched the siblings lift off.

"I have a feeling it might take them awhile to work this out," noted Sailor Jupiter.

Upon landing some distance away, Thor set his sister as gently down as he could, then put the CD player away. Letting out a deep breath, he wondered why he couldn't have something go his way for once. Ever since that yoma, things had gotten screwed up completely.

"RANMA! HOW DARE YOU!" slap!

There wasn't any physical damage from the slap, but it hurt in an emotional sense even if he'd known it was coming.

"Like always, just like always," said Sailor Mercury, shaking her head.

"Oh," said Ranma, finally losing his own temper. "WHAT ABOUT THEE?!"

"ME?!" Sailor Mercury rarely lost her temper, but she was on a roll now.

"AYE, THEE!" bellowed Thor. "What thou thinkest that thou art the only one who can get worried about thy family getting hurt whilst fighting monsters?! All this time I didst worry about mine sister!"

"What are you-"

"BE THOU SILENT!" Thor bellowed in his sister's face, the wind sufficient to whip her hair back.

Ami had rarely gotten angry. Ranma had never yelled at his sister. The shock was enough to startle her to silence.

"Here thou dost go about smiting alien monsters, and that do make me most proud and vexed with thee at the same time," ground out Thor. "Here thou doth engage in mortal combat and thou doth skirmish with the ettin - yet thou grow offended if'n I doth weigh in?!"

"What's with the fractured Shakespeare?" asked Sailor Mercury, momentarily distracted.

"Mine own opinion is that it doth only occur within the Thor transformation, therefore it is some byproduct of that," began Thor, then shaking his head. "Back to the discussion at hand!"

Sailor Mercury was still running on a lot of adrenaline and upset and worry, even if a logical little voice was stating that she was applying a double standard here. She was aware that her brother was upset at her too, and that if this continued while they were both angry like this they might cross a line and say words that could not be taken back. She was even aware that her blurting out Ranma's secret identity had not been her cleverest tactical move.
