"A cure you say?" she asked him, her voice filled with tired hope.
Kain nodded, "Yes, I have been told that once I purify the Pillars, I will be cured of this Vampiric curse."
Seras looked at him, "Do you think it could cure me too?"
Kain looked at her for a moment, and then he shrugged. "I do not know, it may."
Seras began to smile. She could not believe the opportunity she'd just found. A chance to cure herself, to become human once more. She'd never have to drink blood again, to hurt anyone again. A chance to live a normal human life again. No more hunting monsters, but to be free. That was worth more to her than anything.
Seras bit her lip and looked up to him, her crimson eyes filled with hope. "Would it be alright if I helped you?"
Kain backed up for a moment and sneered slightly. "If your previous performance was any sign of your abilities…" Kain looked into her hopeful eyes and visibly grimaced, "Agh! I know I am going to regret this… but yes, you can come, but if you prove to be a liability in combat you can work on your own."
Seras nodded, "I want to avoid killing innocent people, but I can fight."
He nodded, "Good," he motioned to the traveling clothes before him.
Seras looked down at them. They seemed to be reminiscent of gypsy design but would be far less conspicuous than her damaged uniform.
Seras glanced around for a moment.
"Is there any water in this house?," she replied absently.
Kain took a sniff and repelled. "Yes, they would keep water near the hearth for cooking… why?"
"It smells like someone dumped a chamber pot on my head…"
"They probably did," Kain replied absently.
"Oh god," Seras gagged, "I need to wash myself off."
Kain glanced out a window at the sun lit sky, "Take your time, there are still several hours before sun down."
Victoria walked over and smiled as she lifted a large pot of water. Taking a rag she began to wash the filth off of her face and out of her hair.
Seras began to unbutton her top but when the armor clad vampire glanced over, she held her top tightly shut.
"Do you think you could go into another room?" she meekly asked.
Kain laughed, "Another room? This is a one room cottage."
Seras blushed, "Then how do you expect me to change without you seeing me."
Kain shrugged with a amused smile.
She sneered, "Did you just expect me to just take a bath?"
Kain smiled, and in a faux innocent voice he replied, "Why the though never crossed my mind… Besides what other choice do you have, besides jumping in the lake."
Victoria glanced over and scowled. "And how the hell am I supposed to do that without having those idiots attack me again?"
Kain shrugged, "That is not my concern."
"Gimboid."
"What was that?"
"Turn around, and don't look!" Seras growled with a flush.
Kain laughed at her antics, and sat down, pointing away from Seras. "Very well my good maiden, I shall leave you with your virtue intact."
Seras sneered and began to wipe down and change.
