“Yeah and ya’know what, sleeping like a twisted pretzel was no picnic either! I’m amazed I got any sleep you dumbass, so the black-eye should be the least of your worries!” Church replied, now fully dressed in his armor minus the helmet so he could eat.
“The least of my worries?” Tenchi asked with a raised eyebrow.
“I could have used my duel-blade,” Church answered nonchalantly as he bit on his piece of toast.
Tenchi eeped in fear. That damn thing looked like it would hurt like a bitch. “Okay, point made. So when do you think the others will be up?”
“Ranma sleeps like a damn log, and with all the sex he’ll be tired. And Britanny is a lazy ass in the morning so those two, dunno.” Tucker shrugged. “The other two members of our merry band, probably soon.”
“Well, Britanny's got an excuse,” Tenchi said in the werecheetah’s defense. “She’s a werecat, and felines are nocturnal creatures. They’re supposed to sleep during the day.”
“Yeah, yeah whatever...” Church muttered; eating Cuckoo eggs. “Gah! These eggs suck! I wish they had Chocobo eggs. At least they taste like a million bucks.”
“I’m Cuckoo for Chocobos!” The Swordsman said in agreement. He received a smack up side the head for his troubles. “Ow! Hey!”
“Bad joke, moron,” Church said as he decided to eat his Tonberry steak. At least it tasted good. Those Tonberries were real bitches to deal with. And cleaning their green scaly bodies was no picnic either. But the meaty goodness was worth it!
Tenchi rubbed his eye gently. “It still hurts...” He whined.
“Oh, cry me an ocean, pansy-ass,” Church grumbled further and took another bite of his Tonberry steak.
“You being a jackass again Church?” Grumbled a female voice as footsteps approached them.
Church cocked his head to regard the person. “Hey sleepyhead...”
