Great Will: Happi's Lament [Episode 136971]

by Kestral

Happosai shuddered and looked around. There was Ranma. "Oh Ranma. It's terrible. Horrible."

"Well, I dunno, they seem a lot happier now," said Ranma. "Except whenever Ryoga comes by. He's the one who brought the mushrooms."

Sniff said Happosai, wiping his nose with one sleeve of his gi. "Well, in that case, I'll just - console myself in your bosom!" SPLASH! GLOMP! WUGGA-WUGGA! "Eh? WH-wha-what IS THIS?!"

"Oh, didn't I tell ya?" asked Ranma, still a bit disgusted at the feel of contact between himself and Happosai. "I'm cured of my Jusenkyo curse."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Cologne laughed an evil little laugh in the background, clearly enjoying some aspect of this situation.

thunk! went Happosai, looking withered and grayed out as if he'd turned to stone.

The two fathers immediately pounced, wrapped the fallen dread Master in chains, then bubble wrap, then boxed him up and ran off with him. It looked to Ranma as if they were heading for the post office.

Ranma sighed a little sigh as an unfamilar sound was heard at the Tendo Dojo. It was called 'silence' and while it was heard at odd points of the night, it usually didn't last that long.

"Well, anyone who wants to train in martial arts techniques, I've got an hour before 'Whirlwind Of Love' starts," said Cologne to the assembled little girls.

"YAY!" said Akane, seemingly quite cheerful at the prospect.

Ryoga Hibiki pushed his way through the steaming jungles of some foreign land. (Okay, it was a display at the Tokyo Zoo and less than twenty meters square.) The tortuous twisting of the trail left him wondering when he would find the way back to the Mushroom Of Lost Years Forest. (It was a circular path that had a single trail exiting to the gate which the zookeepers used to feed the animals usually found within the pen.) Only the knowledge that he had to avenge this evil Ranma had committed on Akane kept him going. (If he only knew.)

Fortunately he had worked out a new martial arts technique while fighting crocodiles he'd encountered in this strange land. (He had re-invented alligator wrestling. The alligators now watched this strange creature from a distance as he'd proven amazingly tough and they were pretty full anyway.) With it, he would defeat Ranma at last! Free Akane from the awful relationship she was in, and then he could grab a youthening mushroom himself and grow up with Akane as his girlfriend!

"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The alligators blinked and moved a little further away from the youth.

Tatewaki Kuno was not a happy camper. One roasted mushroom which he'd plucked from some peasant as was his right as a samurai, and now he was no longer the vibrant and popular youth he had been.

No, he was old (31) and withered. Worse, he was losing his hair. Fortunately he could now cut it into a proper samurai fashion and thereby conceal the hair loss.

Unfortunately that involved shaving off a good deal of his hair.

"SASUKE! ATTEND ME!" said the Aged Wonder.

It should be noted that thirty-one is not so old. That one is not typically in an advanced state of decripitude. The typical male hitting this time is afflicted by a number of problems, including the dreaded "middle aged middle" or paunch. To someone of the age of seventeen though - thirty-one was often a horribly old and advanced stage of life.

"SASUKE!"

When your true loves were either missing (Ranma-chan) or SIX years old, thirty one was not a nice place to be. Standards of behavior were considerably different. What a seventeen year old could get away with, someone over thirty was less likely to be tolerated.

"SASUKE?! Where is that ninja? Oh fuss and bother. I must compose a letter to the local representitives in the legal profession. Someone fetch me mine paper and ink!"

Meanwhile Sasuke was near the Tendo Dojo, weeping in joy that the Mistress seemed to have been returned to the adorable little girl she had once been - instead of the unstable user of bizarre pharmaceuticals that she had become. That Kasumi had offered him a bowl of rice had nothing to do with it.
