But it seemed that these folks were nice people, and he was getting treated rather well. Sure, he'd gotten asked a lot of questions, but they seemed to understand that it hadn't been his idea to get on board.
They did seem to be really annoyed with his father though.
Even though he had no idea of how to pilot a spaceship of any size, Genma wished to hell that he actually had some controls at that moment. Without them, all he could do was sit there and hang on for dear life, knowing that he would be stuck going where ever it took him. However, that could mean that he'd be stuck travelling off into space forever, and he knew that he wouldn't have wanted that even with an infinite amount of supplies... for the most part.
However, it did seem to be heading somewhere, and after a sudden jolt, he could have sworn that the thing was heating up. His senses told him that there was some sort of sound going on, but the craft was fortunately shielded. Soon, the gravity shifted a bit, and he found himself trying to adjust as he got the sensation that the thing was dropping fast.
Then there was a moment where he knew that something was about to happen, which came just before the pod crashed into something. It felt like the entire craft was slamming him in the gut, but his martial arts training helped him recover quickly, even as he braced for the end of the movement.
When it did stop, it was almost surreal for a moment.
But he managed to pull himself to his feet so that he could gaze around. The food was safe, and so was he, but he knew that there was no way that he could tell how well the pod itself had survived the crash. Sure, he could see if there was any structural damage in the big stuff. Yet, the equipment could be thoroughly useless, and he'd never know it. That meant that he had to go outside, and put his skills to the test.
He managed to find the door controls and used them to open it up so that he could look outside to see:
