The air felt thick, but there was less atmosphere on this world than on some others so it was mostly along the lines of something he could breathe.

There was also desert. He could see the desert stretching out for miles and miles. Not that this was a completely desolate desert - there were stunted bushes and the occasional blade of grass. Mostly though - sand. Lots of sand. As it was reddish sand, Genma immediately came to the conclusion that he was on Mars. He was absolutely wrong of course, but then Genma wasn't likely to correct that idea based on scientific acumen.

Sighting a smudge on the horizon, Genma began his trek as he slowly made his way towards the smudge.

What he didn't realize of course, was that this was not Mars, but a world known as:

• Carybdis on the star charts. A hostile world marked by excessively violent predators.
• Scylla on the star charts. A world where near-dinosaurs rule. Genma has just landed in a desert part, most of the rest is jungle or ocean.
• Sort of an 'El Hazard' world.
• Pre-explosion Krypton. Somehow. Genma makes maybe another step before he flattens against the sands. Fortunately they've got advanced medical technology.
• Something else
