And now she was slumped against him when she was in her sick bed, dealing with the disease that was going around. That did give him a chance to notice what was going on with her though, as he was now able to actually see it for himself. Her ears were not where they were supposed to be, and there was a bulge right below the waistband of her pants, just above her backside. Those were enough of a sign of her growing feline, and any sort of idiot could tell that she was becoming one of those 'catgirls'.
She was also apparently still pretty sick, so he lifted her up, and cradled her in his arms. "Okay then, you're off your feet."
"Sorry sir..," the blonde murmured apologetically.
"It's fine. Really... Somehow."
"Wanted to help..."
"By what? Making yourself more sick?"
"That is true. Despite our enhanced healing, Jaffa understand the need for rest when battling with injury or illness," Teal'c commented.
"See? Junior's keeping him in good health, and you're falling all over the place."
Daniel hesitantly raised his hand. "Well, she only fell once that we saw..."
"I know that."
"But you... Oh. Right."
"Glad you understand."
"In the mean time, I want you all to be ready if we have to deal with the source ourselves," General Hammond told them, "As such, we will be working with the Japanese authorities on this. It could be a mere lab accident, or it could be enemy designs. Once we have the information, we'll move."
"So, are we going to be checking it out ourselves?" the archeologist asked.
"Not yet. We don't have proof of Goa'uld involvement, or anyone else either. But I don't want to take a chance. Doctor Jackson, I want you and Teal'c to see if you can find any list of likely suspects for us. Colonel? I want you to go over the intel that we do have, and see if we can't go in with a proper plan of attack."
"Yes, sir," Jack replied. "But..."
"Permission to take her to sickbay granted."
"Thank you sir."
"I could take Carter if you grow weary," Teal'c offered.
"Thanks, but I've got it."
That got Daniel to raise a brow. "Jack..."
"Don't worry. Let's just get going," the colonel told them both while:
