Then again there wasn’t any guarantee he wouldn’t be…after all what if they were leaving his fate up to the owner of Blue Frame? Gai Murakumo might be waiting to put a bullet in his head at the docks for all he knew!
His mind stopped contemplating what might be his fate as his cell door opened and two people stood in the open doorway with two armed guards on each side. The tan-skinned man spoke first. “I’m Kisaka, Captain of the Kusanagi, and this is Erica Simmons our chief engineer and technician. We have some questions to ask you.”
”Alright, but I have a question myself…you guys gonna kill me or hand me over to somebody who would possibly kill me?” “
Both Erica and Kisaka blinked, the former giggling after a moment. “Oh heaven’s no. We have no plans to shoot you, and we already talked to Gai Kuramumo who owns the Blue Frame you stole, and he has no plans to kill you either.”
Kou let out a sigh of relief. “Well that’s a relief…so what happens to me now?”
”As it is Mr. Murakumo isn’t pressing charges against you for stealing Blue Frame; since he understood why you took it he’s being generously lenient by not pressing charges.” Kisaka explained.
”So…I’m free to go?” Kou asked hopefully.
”Not yet,” Erica said, shooting down his hopes of getting out of his cell. “We’ll let you out but for now you can stay here and think about the consequences of stealing.” She said with no lack of playful mirth.
Kou wanted to wipe that look off her face but just sighed in defeat. “Alright…anything else you tell or ask me?”
”Well we were informed by the Dock-Master you are fired.”
Kou’s head lowered. “That was a no-brainer…I was already on thin ice with old man Wendell anyway.”
”Which comes to our questions,” Erica said as she looked at the young man seriously. “How can a Coordinator child operate a mobile suit so skillfully?” She didn’t have to ask if he was one, if he was from the PLANT, he had to be one.
“I was taught at an early age to operate em’.” He said simply.
”By who?” Kisaka raised an eyebrow in curiousity.
“I doubt you’d believe me if I told you…” Kou said cryptically, looking away.
“Try us.” Erica prodded.
“…I was taught by one of those guys your machines fought.”
This caused both Kisaka and Eric’s eyes to widen. “What?!” They exclaimed in unison.
Kou sighed and continued. “Years ago when I was…six or seven some jerkoffs from a very black and secret organization called Obsidian Abyss tried to recruit me through some child-care front they created to brainwash kids into hating Naturals. I got wise to it and left before they could turn me,”
”Who or what is Obsidian Abyss?” Kisaka asked.
“A Coordinator’s version of Blue Cosmos that’s hell-bent on wiping out all Naturals.” Kou explained. “Real racist bastards, same ilk as Blue Cosmos, they aren’t content till every Natural is wiped out, and they’ve been planning a big move to pull off their plans for years.”
”Wait a second, you mean there’s a secret organization within the PLANTS that’s Anti-Natural?” Erica questioned.
“Are you that surprised? It’s not that much a wonder Coordinator’s have their own Anti-Natural organization like Blue Cosmos.” Kou said matter-of-factly. “Only diff is OA is more secretive, they wanted their existence unknown till they were ready to execute their plans, and judging by their attempt on the Earth Alliance’s Secretary General…they’re making their move.”
Kisaka and Erica looked at each other then Kou. “Tell us all you know about Obsidian Abyss and don’t be jerking us around young man.” Kisaka said in a dead serious tone.
