"FUCK!!!" Leo slammed his fist into his assigned locker inside the pilots change room of the Pegasus. "We had the target right in our sights and we fucking blew it!!"
"We did the best we could considering the circumstances. The last minute intervention by Kou in the Blue Frame was something none of us expected. Not even the big chief himself," grunted Hugo as he drank some water. Akira remained silent throughout all this.
"If I took the sucker more seriously...I could have at least disabled him long enough to go terminate the target!!" Leo opened his bottle of water and poured the contents on top of his head to cool himself down.
"Well, what's done is done. We need to regroup and recover. The big chief could call us again at any moment for a new mission." Hugo paused for a moment. "By the way, who got the least Natural kills for that mission?"
"How can you still think of the wager at a time like this?" muttered Akira.
"How about when we're in a better mood, we can check the score? Then we can go get drunk off our asses?" This brought small grins to Leo and Akira's faces.
"You got yourself a deal, Hugo." Akira paused when someone knocked on the door to the change room.
"Hey, guys? The chief's on the line and wants to speak to you three," said an ensign.
"We'll be on the bridge in a bit," answered Leo. The trio quickly got changed and headed towards the bridge. As soon as they arrived, the communications officer established the connection to speak with their superior officer.
"Gentlemen, I have just received a report on your mission. Although I am aware of the last minute intervention by young Kou Uramecha, you should have been able to adapt yourselves better to complete the mission."
"I apologize for our poor performance however we will make it up to you," said Akira professionally.
"That's good to hear. In any case, I have a new assignment for your team. I will require you to journey to Maius City to obtain some materials needed to stabilize the Messiah's JWA. I'm sending you a map of the ZAFT facility which currently houses the material we need. Security will be fairly tight but with a good plan, you should be able to bypass them without a major problem."
"And what of the Secretary General? We just gonna leave him?" asked Hugo as a map appeared on another computer screen.
"I have another team working on that as we speak. You do not need to concern yourself with it." with that said, the connection was cut, indicating that the conversation has finished.
"Well, looks like we have a new mission," mumbled Akira.
"Indeed. Helm, lay in a course for the Maius City PLANT," said Captain Don Richards.
"Yes, sir."

"Finally!! It's done!!" Shinn Asuka had just spent the past three hours cleaning the Kinar dorm's male bathroom. It had been a bloody mess before but now, it's spotless with the floor entirely cleaned and the walls scrubbed.
Shinn prepared to exit the bathroom when he saw one of his new friends Yolant Kent stagger in as if he were drunk. "Aw...shit...I don't feel so good...shouldn't have had that last slice of cheesecake."
"We better get you to the infirmary, Yolant..." Shinn trailed off as Yolant proceeded to hurl his lunch right in front of him. "MY FLOOR!!! MY BEAUTIFUL CLEAN FLOOR!!! IT'S RUINED!!!!!"
