"So lemme get this straight, Kisaka. There's an anti-Natural group out there called the Obsidian Abyss that's just as bad as Blue Cosmos but a helluva lot more secretive?" Andy Waltfeld sighed heavily. "Just another thing to add to our list of obstacles to overcome in order to establish a long-lasting peace." Currently, he, Murrue and Kisaka were engaging in a video conference with each person on the bridge of their respective ships.
"Indeed. If you wish, I can arrange for you two to meet Kou when we dock back at the September City spaceport," replied Kisaka.
"That would be a good idea. At the same time, we can all sit down and discuss how we're going to be able to deal with this threat. Should we also invite Councilwoman Canaver to sit down with us as well?" pondered Murrue.
Kisaka leaned back in his chair. "It will be some time until she completes her business with Secretary-General Olbani. We can simply inform her of the new threat and our plan of action to counter it when she is finished."
"Sounds good. I'll see you two in a bit, then." Andy terminated his link to the conference as did Murrue. Kisaka simply closed the connection and reviewed what Kou had told him earlier.

"So you're quite the mobile suit buff, huh?" asked Erica with a small smile. Kou scratched his head sheepishly.
"Well, they are pretty cool. It'll be nice if I can get an intimidating and powerful suit of my own like the Blue Frame or maybe the Freedom so I can play a more active role in fighting the Obsidian Abyss."
'And if you were able to get a good suit, you would be able to bring out its full potential and be a force to be reckoned with.' Erica filed this information away for later. "Perhaps we can help each other out. I'll speak to Kisaka and ask him if you can join the crew of the Kusanagi. We could always use an extra mechanic and mobile suit pilot."
"Wow!! That would be really cool!! And you mentioned having an extra pilot. Does that mean you have a spare mobile suit sitting around?" asked Kou eagerly.
"I believe so. I can double check later if Kisaka accepts you as a new member of the crew." Erica paused when the door to Kisaka's office opened with the communications officer poking his head in.
"Erica? There's a transmission coming from the Duel and it's addressed to you."
"Patch it through to Kisaka's desk. I'll take it there." She moved over to the chair and activated the comm unit to reveal the image of Yzak Joule.
"You're Erica Simmons, chief mechanic of Morgenroete?"
"That's me. Is there something I can do for you, Mr. Joule?" replied the Natural female politely.
Yzak shifted uncomfortably. "Well...in the last battle, Dearka complained about how the battery in the Buster ran out of power quickly. Athrun mentioned that his battery lasted longer and you were the one who built the Strike Rouge and the battery. So Dearka asked me...to see if you wouldn't mind installing that battery for his suit."
"Really? Why couldn't he ask me himself?"
"He...um...already docked inside the Archangel. So would you mind changing that battery or not?" The last bit came out rushed.
Erica silently giggled as she saw through Yzak's story. He simply wanted a new battery but felt uncomfortable asking a Natural to do him a favour. "I would be happy to. If I'm not mistaken, the Duel has the same type of battery the Buster has so would you like to change your battery as well?"
Yzak tried to remain cool but his eyes gave away the fact that he was pleased with the outcome. "Um...yeah, sure! It's cool."
"In that case, we'll see what we can do when the mechanics give your suits a check up in a few hours. Oh...and you're welcome by the way." Yzak's face turned into a small scowl before he cut the transmission.
