Gundam Seed - After War: Word Gets Out. [Episode 138905]

by Ninja Kasuga of the Demonite Race

In the meeting room aboard the Archangel, Murrue rubbed the bridge of her nose. Gathered in the room currently was Andy, Kisaka, Erica, Kou and herself. “Kou…please tell me that Obsidian Abyss doesn’t have the capabilities to pull off this grand plan of theirs you told us about.”

The young Coordinator shook his head. “Ms. Ramius I just wish I could say it was a buncha bullshit coming from a kid’s overactive imagination or nightmares. But from what I’ve been able to gather from several hackings into the OA’s databases…they have the ability to pull off their plan. The exact ability to do it is pretty hush-hush but some of the gist of it I do know about.”

“So kid, tell us, besides developing advanced mobile weapons or stealing them, what else do these OA bastards have that could mean trouble?” Andy inquired, his brow furrowing more as he heard more and more he didn’t like.

”Lord, with their contacts in ZAFT, the PLANT political arena, and who knows where else they got spies, they could get their hands on almost anything.” Kou sighs. “Plus I know they have a few good number of eggheads who dabble in advanced weapon and mobile suit research working form them.”

“That isn’t good, so the attempt on the Secretary General was just an opening act?” Kisaka asked.

”Probably, and they might try to assassinate him again even if he’s inside the PLANTS. If he’s done in by a Coordinator or just being killed inside the PLANT will pin the blame on ZAFT and restart the hostilities.” Kou grumbled. “Its their style, they work in secret mostly but now that they’ve gone this far it seems they don’t mind letting the universe know they exist.”

Murrue rubbed her forehead irritation. “Shit…why can’t everything just be over?”

”I don’t remember the author ma’am but I believe there’s a saying “the things we covet the most are often the things we must fight the hardest to attain and maintain,” or so the saying goes.” Kou said.

Murrue focused her gaze directly on the Coordinator. “How long exactly were you among the OA before you left?”

Kou scratched his head in thought. ”Maybe about a year and a half from ages five to six; I don’t even remember much of what they tried to do to get me in their mindset. All I remember was I was among a whole group of little kids taken in by a daycare scam front that was brainwashing kids into hating Naturals. Since I was an orphan they took me into the organization for special treatments. What I thought was video games were really MS simulators…and the movies they let me watch always had Naturals as the villains…” He shakes his head in disgust. “Pure brainwashing of the young and naïve…I was just lucky I was able to see through it all and run away.”

”And why haven’t you exposed them if you’ve kept tabs on them from time to time?” Andy asked.

Kou looked at the one-eyed ZAFT soldier. “You think I haven’t tried? They have a very good cover-up PR group that can make any evidence you try to publish or dump on the net vanish, and disapprove it as nothing more than a prank or joke.” The young man slumps in his seat. “I’ve made over one hundred attempts in the last six, nearly seven years and everyone was covered up and it gave them a trail to hunt me down and force me to run away and relocate. I’ve had to run from PLANT to PLANT, and from Colony to Colony to keep them from getting their mitts on me, and I barely got out of Heliopolis before it went to hell.”

Murrue blinked her eyes rapidly. “You were on Heliopolis?”

”Yeah I was trying to get a job at Morgenroete, and then “BOOM”! ZAFT attack forces everywhere. Only reason I got out alive was because I found a captured GINN from the EA’s G-Unit development base they used to study ZAFT’s MS technology and used it to escape.” Kou grumbled.

Erica raised an eyebrow, “If memory serves me right that GINN was de-powered and probably stripped of an OS. You must have had a hard getting it up and running.”

”It was. I had to reinstall the OS, drag a power cable to the charger intake…whoo I barely got it running when the place fell apart.”

******************

While the conference was still going on, eavesdroppers had already picked up some of the conversation and word began to spread.

”The enemy is a Blue Cosmos like Anti-Natural group called Black Obsidian, and word is they mean genocide in a big way.”

”I heard they’ve got contacts in a lot of places, meaning they could have any type of military hardware hidden somewhere!”

Of course the word of mouth method of spreading news often becomes befuddled.

“I heard the Obsidian Abyss work so secretly that they have hit squads to erase your memories with a neutralizer thing they take out of nowhere and flash the entire room into blank-minds!”

”Oh come on Dearka that’s just nonsense!”

”No it isn’t Mir! I swear I got it from a reliable source!”

”I heard they wanna hunt down all the Natural women and rape them and then anal-probe the men!”

”Funny I thought they wanted to rape the horses and ride the women…”

Yes it really started to get stupid…
